NOKIA 5800 DONT TURN ON

Try this,

press the call key (green), cancel call key (red) and the camera shutter button while power on the device, until the Nokia logo appears.

The first symptom of successful format / hard reset is the touchscreen vibration turning on (if you've turned it off before hard reset).

Next, depend on your phone settings before hard reset / format, you're prompted to enter PIN code followed by lock code (remember, the lock code remains same as what you've set for it).

Then, the interface request you to choose your country followed by setting the date and time for the phone.

How to change language on motorrola hk100

All Motorola cell phones have the ability to change language settings. This adjusts all of the phrasing and words throughout the cell phone's menu, as well as the prompts that appear on the screen. This allows the phones to be easily produced and marketed to other countries around the world. With this included feature, it is possible to change the current language to another language in just a few easy steps.

11.Power on the Motorola cell phone.
2.Highlight "Main Menu" and press the "Select" (or "OK") button.
3.Choose "Initial Setup" on the new menu by pressing the "Select" button. The display menu changes once again to setup options for the phone.
4.Scroll down to "Language." Press "Select" and all of the available languages appear on the cell-phone screen.
5.Select the language you want on your phone, then press "OK."
I hope this helps. Thank you for using FixYa

The following procedure will delete everything you installed and stored in the internal phone memory. The mass storage and external memory card won't be modified.
  1. Turn off the phone.
  2. Slide the keyboard out.
  3. Press and hold Shift, Space, Backspace, & the Power Button at the same time.
  4. Continue to hold the keys. The phone will turn on, and you will see the white background, then the Nokia logo, continue to hold the keys.
  5. Let go of the keys when the screen no longer changes.
  6. Your phone should go to the Setup stage, where will ask you to choose your country.
  7. If you see the country setup, this means the reset was successful. Else you will need to repeat the procedure.

Select the RF(radio frequency) test tool option and then select the GSM option.

kb-article-odyssey-unlock-instructions-11-14-09-step5.jpg
When a message appears hit ok to verify.

kb-article-odyssey-unlock-instructions-11-14-09-step7.jpg
Go to the power scan option then select the band option. Click on the right arrow till you see DCS 1800 . Press OK.

The phone should enter into scan mode, wait a few minutes until it appears to have stopped, if it hasn't stopped within a 10 minute time frame proceed to the next step.

Plug the phone into a computer via a USB connection.

You will see the following options.

  • Mass storage
  • Webcam
  • COM port
  • PictBridge

Ignore all choices (!) and press on the RED (cancel call) phone key.

kb-article-odyssey-unlock-instructions-11-14-09-step8.jpg
The phone should power OFF at this point.

kb-article-odyssey-unlock-instructions-11-14-09-step9.jpg
Switch the phone back on and go into the settings menu

kb-article-odyssey-unlock-instructions-11-14-09-step10.jpg
Select network setup

kb-article-odyssey-unlock-instructions-11-14-09-step11.jpg
Select prefered mode, select GSM preferred and press OK
This step is crucial. If the change does go through you'll see mode switching to GSM, then to OK.

kb-article-odyssey-unlock-instructions-11-14-09-step13.jpg
If it goes through smoothly go to Settings again, and click on 'Restore Factory settings...
If it the phone doesn't accept the setting you'll see mode switching then it will display UNFINISHED.
If you see that message, please go back to the first step and do everything over again. The definition of madness is doing the same thing again and again and expecting different results. But it's worth a try.
You'll be asked for a password. The password is 1122. If that doesn't work try 1212, 0000, 8888, or 1234.

kb-article-odyssey-unlock-instructions-11-14-09-step12.jpg

A message will appear. Click Yes.
When the phone starts up again, you'll see a Chinese message. It's asking you to click on the screen for screen calibration. Click on the touchscreen.
Once that's done you'll be shown to the main menu.
Oh No! It's In Chinese!
Fear not...
To change the language back to English, just go to SETTINGS (the gears/cogs icon).
Then choose menu item 4, then 3 and you'll be able to choose English.
Still more steps...
Go back to SETTINGS, then NETWORK SETTINGS, then click on SIM1 network setup (or SIM2 network setup depending on which slot you previously put into WLAN Only).
There you'll be shown two choices: Network Selection and Preferred mode.
Make sure that Network Selection is set to AUTOMATIC and not MANUAL. If it says MANUAL, go in and change it to AUTOMATIC.
As for Preferred mode it should say GSM Preferred. If not please start the beginning again.

How can i change my message tone on my samsung f480 from the standard tones set on the phone

Instead of changing the ringtone settings, tap the message alert tab (in the top centre of the display).
A set of message alert settings appears . You can change the Message alert type, if you want to, by tapping the panel and choosing the appropriate option.
To change the Message alert tone, press the Message alert tone panel .
In the menu that appears, press Change.
Then choose one of the options Use effect tone (one of Samsung's pre-loaded effects) or Use my alert tone (allowing you to choose from your own sounds) .
In this example, press Use my alert tone.
Press the Sounds option. In a similar way as changing ringtones (above) you now have the choice of choosing from your Music files, Ringtones that are loaded onto the phone, or My voice clips .
In our example, we'll again choose a file from our Music folder.
Press the Music option. A list of suitable MP3 tracks appears.
Tap the one you want in order to highlight it.
Press Options, then tap on the Select menu option to install it as your message alert .
You are now taken back to the Normal profile settings, where the Message alert tone has changed .
To save this change, press Options and then Save .
Alternatively, press Back and you will be asked whether you want to Save? Press Yes
