Question about IBM E74 17" CRT Monitor
The picture is squashed into about the bottom third of the screen. If the case is tapped sharply, the picture returns to normal, but may collapse again at random. Usually after the screen has been on for more than 10 minutes, it rarely collapses.
Vertical IC failure.
Search for bad solder joints.
