Question about NetGear DG834G Router
When down;oading files from internet podcasts, updates etc we are unable to browse other web pages and receive and send mail.
Using Mac mini G4 1.4z Ghz mac OSX v 10.4.11 Safari 3.12 and mail 2.13
We used to be able to download files and continue browsing emailing using a netcomm router
The only thing I can think would cause this would be bandwidth allocation. If your download(s) is/are using your bandwidth up then you will not be able to utilize it until the downloading is finished done. Do you have any way of limiting the download rate of your updates/podcasts or having them perform in background? You might also try to schedule your downloading to a time when you don't use your computer (get updates at some time between 3-5am or whenever you're always asleep).
