Question about Acer Aspire 5100 Notebook
I have an Acer Aspire 5100 Notebook with a built-in web cam.
I've been trying to use it, but every time I turn on the web cam, the image is green and purple. I don't know what to do anymore. I've tried downloading new drivers and things of that nature, but nothing seems to work. Can someone please help?
Which driver are you using? There are two different ones. The Bison and the Suyin. Make sure you have the right driver. Probably the Bison. Uninstall the cam from the device manager, download the Bison driver for your model and install the driver and wait for the "found new hardware wizard" to install the cam. Then reboot and see if it fixes the problem. Good luck and let me know if this helps. http://www.acerpanam.com/flex/acer/bin/acer.html#app=2766&9e7c-selectedIndex=0&3386-selectedIndex=2&bca4-selectedIndex=1&bf37-selectedIndex=1&4f90-selectedIndex=1

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
