Question about Macromedia Dreamweaver MX 2004

1 Answer

OK, this is a issue I have with Dreamweaver CS3 (9). I am doing a training session with an online library and I have downloaded the exercise files. When i open the exercise files (.html files) they look great but when I open them in dreamweaver the formatting of the page is completely different to what it should be? I am thinking that maybe I have accidentally changed something in Dreamweaver which is doing this. Any suggestions? The pages look like they haven't been formatted.

I want to make myself a medicine ball training program, do you have any advices?

If you want an effective practice, it should last 30 to 40 minutes, allowing you to break a good sweat and build a calorie-burning heart rate. You should perform your workout about three times a week with 36 to 48 hours of rest between sessions. Each session should contain at least two sets of eight to ten exercises.

Need the downloads of data files for Sherry Bishop's book Dreamweaver 8 Revealed (2006).

The companion website for Dreamweaver 8 Revealed is
http://www.course.com/downloads/revealed/dreamweaver8dee/
but this just contains links to the websites discussed in the book.

There are also "Student Data File" downloads, which you can find at
http://www.cengage.com/highered/
by searching for "Dreamweaver 8 Revealed" and clicking on the STUDENT "About this product" link in the search results. Note that the INSTRUCTOR downloads are password protected.

Dreamweaver CS4 will not install

right click taskbar, click task manager...under process tab look for Updater.exe, click it to highlight it, then at the bottom is a button to 'end task' click it. the program should terminate. if it pops back up then it could be a virus or malware. if that is the case...run malwarebytes anti malware scanner...its free and works very well. or you can search for it and manually delete the offending file....also run ccleaner..its another free software...could be that you just need to have the registry cleaned of old registry settings of programs uninstalled long ago.. let us know how you go on that.

Dreamweaver MX and Vista

very simple actually.

I made a tutorial that shows how to fix it here: http://www.funkytower.com/2008/09/22/dreamweaver-mx-and-vista-fix-insert-tables-best-fix/

I've written a few on this before, but this seems to be the best fix. You more than likely won't get an answer because there are still alot of people using XP and they don't have this issue.

The fix is basically this: going to the program root folder and finding and modifying the function for inserting a table (which is either or both c:\program files\macromedia\dreamweaver mx\configuration\objects\common and/or c:\users\your user name\appdata\macromedia\dreamweaver mx\configuration\objects\common) This file happens to be a simple html file, so it's easy to tweak.

The tutorial's URL I gave above will give you all the details.

Hope that helps!
David
