If you are in suspend mode, as soon as you open the lid to your computer or press the "enter" key your computer should restart. Some computers, though, require that you press the on/off button to wake it up.
As for the memory, you should have at least 1MB of RAM for XP to run well. 2 GB is much better, and your computer will max out at 2 GB

Reactivate account

If you have placed yourself on suspend mode. Only you can suspend your profile if your profile is approved and in good standing. Log in to the site. Go to `Members Home` then to `Your Profile and Information Block` and click on `Suspend`. You can re-activate your profile at any time by clicking on the `Re-Activate` button where the `Suspend` button used to be.
If your account has been removed in error, please contact Customer Service at [email protected]. Please provide the username and email address used at the time of signup.

Compaq q1859 monitor

Hmmm, sleep/suspend mode is only supposed to happen when it doesn't sense any movement from the mouse, it also shouldn't suspend if you are in full-screen either. So if you are playing a game that shouldn't happen at all... as a test you should put the "turn off the display" to "never" and see if it still happens.
I have this happen when watching Netflix, if I don't move the mouse my TV will go into suspend mode, even though I am in full screen... I think my issue however is related to the fact that I am using HDMI to connect to my TV from my computer... I have not solved this issue yet!

Greetings I have a friend who has windows xp home edition and I need to find out where the ram specs are on that os as I am using a different Os...need some assistance

To find out how much RAM is currently installed on the Windows XP Home computer, right click on My Computer (either from the Start menu or desktop) and choose Properties. In the General tab it will tell you how much RAM is currently installed. To find out how much RAM you can install and what speed it has to be, go to Crucial.com and run their free memory scanner.

Shut lid without logging off properly know it will not start up

Your pc isn't recovering properly from Suspend mode.

If it's an XP laptop I would recommend changing the Power Management options to Hibernate than Suspend. If it's a newer Laptop, than Hibernate won't take long to recover. I had to do this with my new Netbook.

Safe mode

You can also force the system into safe mode. You click on startup and type in msconfig. Click the general tab and select diags and the system will reboot to safe mode. Change it back to normal to get your system out of safe mode.
