SOURCE: Wen replacing all fuel lines
Hi kerry,
I am not too familiar with that chain saw. Although it is a well known saw, in this area we don't see it much. If it is like most saws it has an out and return line, and I will approach it that way. One line goes into the tank all the way to the bottom with a filter attached to it, The other is the return line that is attached to the primer and just goes in the tank about 1". If you don"t have a primer then you probably won't have the second line (return line). Do you have 2 holes in the tank that are within 1" of each other. First get the proper size fuel line and cut one end at approx. 45 degrees to help getting the line into the tank hole, because it is a tight fit so gas can't escape. I will give you a little trick to get the line in the tank. Get a small wire and twist it around the fuel line where it is cut at 45 degrees, put the wire into hole, help it along (this is where the 45 degree angle will be helpful) and with a bent wire or anything you have, work the wire to opening in the tank and now you can pull on it to the tank opening. Once there remove the wire and install the fuel filter and get enough line so it reaches the bottom of the tank. Now cut the other end with a bit extra length and put on inlet of the carburetor, (it should be the one closest to back of carb, nearest to motor). The other line goes to other hole of tank and should have a one way valve and go in about 1 ", other end to other outlet.
I hope this is s bit helpful. All the best and good luck. Any questions welcome
