Hello jdb..... The outdoor transmitter needs to undergo a wee bit of maintenance. Remove those new batteries and clean the battery contacts with the eraser on the end of a common pencil. Then replace the batteries. IF you notice that the batteries slide in easily, use a small flat blade screwdriver to gently lift the battery contacts to increase the contact when you do slide the new batteries in. Joe
Right, After several months of struggle to find written instructions how to attach the central harness adjustment strap (The one with metal anchor at the end) to the red clip (buckle) strap as seems to be shown in instructions.
I have found number to temtex uk company that supplies nania products to argos on 01162844910, while emailing them on firstname.lastname@example.org had no result.
There's no need to attach the two.
Central harness adjuster strap has to be detached and pulled by it's front end as far as it goes.
While red clip strap threads through the gap between backrest and the base.
And red clip strap threads through hole (bracket) at the back of the base.
I had to press receive on the back of mine until the satellite icon appeared on the top right. It's keeping time correctly now. EXCEPT...it's the wrong time zone. We tossed the manual the other day so I'm stuck in Pacific Time instead of Eastern. Hope the top part of this helps.
I had the same problem last year and called the number on the back of the clock 718-610-2717 - it was busy forever - finally I got through and they gave me another number to call - I did get the problem fixed I just can't remember how exactly to fix it again. I think I had to manually reset...I have been trying the original number again - but it has been busy for the 4 days I have been trying. I will keep trying...
For the Sharp SPC374T Atomic Clock - Time Zone setting- Press the 'Time' button once, the time zone will show where 'Day' usually is, use the Up or Down buttong to adjust.
For the outdoor Thermo, credit to my neighbor for this one. Remove battery from main unit, wait 2-3 minutes. Reload batteries. Once you get a reading from the outdoor sensor, hit the reset on the main unit. You will have to reset the time zone as described above, but this worked for me after 10 months of no outside temp showing up!
