Question about HP PSC 2210xi All-In-One InkJet Printer
I have a psc2210xi. Lightening hit my computer so I had to have it rebuilt. Now as I try to attach the printer to it it reads the disk so far and then won't continue adding the printer. Do you think I might need a new USB cord. It used to work.
Hello, the electrical spike may have also affected your pnter's USB port or worse. Does it copy/scan/fax ok? Try using the one of the USB ports from the back of your computer. USB printers do not like low speed, low power USB ports. Are you using a USB hub or plugging it into a usb port on your keyboard? I doubt the cable is bad, but check it carefully for any black marks on both ends. Have you tried other USB devices on this newly rebuilt computer? Good Luck!
