Aiming picture. My projector while sitting on the table flat and level the picture is pointing up about 25 or 30 degrees. I can not find an adjustment to bring the picture down.

This unfortunately is the configuration of the lens. The projector normally does this to project the image upward for viewing.

The only way you are going to bring it down, is to jack up the rear of the projector, either with a book or something of that nature.

Good Luck

Replace a fan

I'm assuming you researched YouTube for dis-assembly.

But replacing the fan on a Proxima is very unforgiving. You'll have to remove the casing which means taking out a lot of screws. All I can recommend is;

- Obviously disconnect the projector and make sure you don't have any residue charged components, or work from a non-metal table.

- Chances are there's more than one fan, you'll have to make sure you're not removing fans unnecessarily.

- With a digital camera (or cell phone) take pictures of each phase of removing the casing. You'll refer to the pictures when putting it back together. Keep a pill box to hold each screw type.

- There may be plastic tabs around the casing that need to be pry-ed off with a flat-tip screwdriver. Use care removing the hood of the projector. You can damage delicate ribbon cables.

- If you find its more involved than expected, stop and re-assemble it. Then send it in for projector repair.

Good Luck,

Our picture is upsideddown how do you rotate the picture???

Go to the Option menu and select Installation then if your projector is sitting on a table or shelf, select "front/desk". If your projector is installed on the ceiling, select "front/ceiling".

That should solve the problem.

Dell 5100mp projector fan is quiet when doing presentations on table top, but makes noise when ceiling mounted for home theatre. Noise get better after 20-30 minutes, but is just as noisy next time i...

turn it on when sitting on a table right side up. If possible, take the cover off and support carefully nearby the unit. Then slowly rotate the unit upside down and notice when the noise starts to get worse. Have a look at the fan area and see if there is anything that's causing the fan to make a worse noise. perhaps the bearings are getting worn out or something's not as titgh and vibration is being amplified by the fan unit.

Connected the projector to laptop but projected image is inverted

These projectors are designed to either sit on a table, or be hung from a ceiling bracket. Depending on how it is used, the image may be upside-down, like what you are experiencing.

Most projectors have a function to invert the image. Check your manual, and see if the setup menu offers image invert, or something similar. Once you get it solved, you'll never have to fool with it again.

Dell 4100MP Image Not Centered Thru Lens

No to your question. The lens is fixed it cannot shift horizontally only although there are projectors that can do this. I am sure you have the front foot retracted? I have had to do the same as you are doing or find a lower table.

HC 1500 skewed image issue

Hi there

I've worked on a few Mitsubishi's in my lifetime and one of their most common problems is the DMD Board that goes faulty and this makes the image go all pear shaped.

If you've only had the unit for 3 months now it should still be under warranty and the warranty covers these kind of repairs.

Hope this helps you !

Angle of projected image

Hi there

No this can not be changed , the PB6100 was actually designed to mounted upside down in your ceiling and therefore the lens is 28-30 degrees upwards when projected on a flat surface.

Flip it upside down and you'll see what I'm getting at.
