Question about Audio Players & Recorders

1 Answer

I received a Teac MC-DX32i in June for my birthday. I finally set it up about a week ago and the remote does not work at all. I checked the battery and it has 3 volts and is brand new. It was given as a gift and I dont have a receipt. Any suggestions?

Id try a universal remote to check if its just the remote. If it turns out to be just the remote you can usually order an original replacement for fairly cheap.. if that doesn't work its most likely the IR receiver on the receiver itself.

Thanks,
Nate

How do you set the clock

This is on page 23 of the manual for your device... This is the web link...

If the unit is on, press the STANDBY/ON switch to turn it standby

2 Press and hold the TIME SET button for more than 3 seconds and release it when "12H" or "24H" appears on the display. "12" or "24" blinks. If you want to change the hour mode, press the .or/ button.

< If you leave the unit idle for 7 seconds, the time setting mode will be cancelled.

3 Press the TIME SET button once more. The "hour" value blinks.

4 Press the SKIP button (.//) to set the current hour.

5 Press the TIME SET button. The "minute" value blinks.

6 Press the SKIP button (.//) to set the current minute.

7 Press the TIME SET button. The clock starts.

CD Player won't recognize the CD. I'm using a standard music CD. I've tried 5 different music CD's.

Some cds are written differently and will not work no matter what you do. use it in another cd player.

TEAC MC-DX32i suddenly the Subwoofer power light (usually blue) is amber -- and no power to the main unit....second unit this has happened to.....

I have several of these units due to being a liquidation seller, and the MOST common problem is the subs not getting any power. Next is CD Player Dying, and 3rd, unit powering, but not sending info BACK to the sub.

In any case the issue with the subwoofer is rarely the fuses. It's further up the line. So far every unit we have checked the transformer was the culprit. If you are handy, by all means replace the transformer and you're better to go.
