Question about Audio & Video Receivers

1 Answer

I received a Teac MC-DX32i in June for my birthday. I finally set it up about a week ago and the remote does not work at all. I checked the battery and it has 3 volts and is brand new. It was given as a gift and I dont have a receipt. Any suggestions?

Id try a universal remote to check if its just the remote. If it turns out to be just the remote you can usually order an original replacement for fairly cheap.. if that doesn't work its most likely the IR receiver on the receiver itself.

Thanks,
Nate

Looking for a TEAC UR-417 Remote control

go e-bay and in the want to buy search type in remote control for teac ur -417 enter and see what is available
contact teac direct on their web site and see if one is still available
remember that manufacturers seldom change the frequencies that remotes work on so even though the specifics may be a bit different , it probably would still work

I am unable to find the owners manual for the Teac MC-DV100 SuybWoofer

For almost any set-top box, there isn't a sub-woofer output. Without that output (it would be labeled on the STB), you can't hook up a subwoofer directly to it.

HOWEVER, the model number you give isn't just a subwoofer: it's a whole sound system with a subwoofer attached to it. If you have the whole sound system, you just hook the STB's audio output to the amplifier's "Aux Input" (it might also be called "line input").

If your model doesn't have that (can't tell from the web), you'd have to buy an "AV Receiver" that has at least a 5.1 set of outputs. These start at maybe $150 new, $50 on eBay. MAKE SURE YOU BUY A RECEIVER WITH A "powered" SUBWOOFER OUTPUT!! You connect the receiver to the STB, and the subwoofer to the receiver.

Teac model ur 410 can i program it to dynex tv and receiver??

Check whether the remote control have set-up codes to both brand devices you wish to operate. If there is set-up code, you can. Otherwise can't. If you wish to get more; check the site linked here. It has set-up code list & set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. See it in "Mosaic" or "Magazine" view. It will make surf easier.

TEAC MC-DX32i suddenly the Subwoofer power light (usually blue) is amber -- and no power to the main unit....second unit this has happened to.....

I have several of these units due to being a liquidation seller, and the MOST common problem is the subs not getting any power. Next is CD Player Dying, and 3rd, unit powering, but not sending info BACK to the sub.

In any case the issue with the subwoofer is rarely the fuses. It's further up the line. So far every unit we have checked the transformer was the culprit. If you are handy, by all means replace the transformer and you're better to go.
