SOURCE: No digital to reciever??

This tv will only output the sound from a digital tv channel through the optical output when using the tv's digital tuner. So if you are connecting a DVD etc it will not output through the optical output on the tv. ONLY digital chanels through the tv's tuner will give you sound. Refer to the tv's owners manual for more info.

My son used the cord from a kettle for our LG plasma TV (we cant find the TV cord) it isnt working properly. The pixals breakup. I said we needed a audio/video specific cord.Is that right?

Hi if the cord fits the kettle and the television then great, They both run off the same electricity current meaning the electricity won't harm television or cord... Smart kid :)

Pc in problems no signals sony bravia klv-32 ex300

Plug your video cable from your computer into a known working monitor first to make sure the cable / computer video work.

If this works, unplug all cables from your tv, except the power, and plug in the pc video. Make sure to use the menu to select the correct input (should say "pc" unless you are using hdmi cable, then you select the hdmi input (hdmi1, hdmi2, etc).

go to set menu with remote and look for a setting that says cable, air/antenna and switch it but you may likely have to auto program the channels after that.

My HDMI inputs no longer work. The other inputs are ok. I hooked in a dvd player with HDMI out to make sure it wasn't just my satellite receiver and still it just says no signal. What can I do? Thanks

The only solutions u can tries is to unplug tv,satellite receiver box and plug it back in like about an hour later for the tv to reset itself and the sattellite box receiver to reboot and upgrade it softwares.Than go into the tv Menu go into the video setting and reset the whole tv Tuner signal board. This solutions have great chance for all the HDMI inputs to work again. If not have the same problems, sorry than those HDMI ports on the tv Tuner signal board are shorted and dead. These HDMI ports are putting on by a wave soldering machine when they are put onto the board. These HDMI ports can't be replaced individually or buy parts for it,almost impossible to replaces parts by hand soldering equipments either. The only solution now only is to buy a whole refurbish tv Tuner for the replacement,if u have to have those HDMI inputs for your tv,can't used other inputs to handle ur tv need to functions the tv the way u wanted.U some mechanical skills, like can take thing aparts and putting it back together.Yes.Try website like Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish tv Tuner signal board for the replacement.

Dvd wont work.

First, is the DVD player output (Video out, audio out) connected to the TV input? Have you used the Yellow cable from  DVD video out to the TV video in? Mixing the audio and video cables will result in no signal. Have you selected the proper input with your TV remote control. Most plasmas accept a variety of input signals; you must select the right one. I deal with a number of these issues. Usually the connections are made improperly or the correct input source is not selected with the TV remote. Put a DVD in the player and press play. Be sure you have made the proper connection from DVD player video/audio out into an auxiliary or video input on the TV. These could be labeled Line 1 or Line 2.  With the DVD playing, run through the input options on your remote control. The button might be marked source, video or input. The screen should display your choices i.e. video 1, video 2, etc. When you see your DVD program, you've got the right combination.

Aux

Put the input on the TV to where the LG is selected. This should display the output of the LG system.

On the remote hit HOME, go to Easy Menu and select AUX. Be sure to hook your computer output cables to the AUX sound inputs on the bottom of the subwoofer.

Hope this helps.

Cant afford cable box need help

depending on if the dvd player has functions such as video input , but not likely
if the plasma only has certain video inputs and not the cable input you could use the vcr to get the signal
