After installing the drivers & the applications from the included CDs, whenever I try to print from anything, I get an application error & it must close. Doesn't matter what program, Wordpad, MS Word, Adobe Acrobat, test page , etc...
Same exact thing on my wife's PC, both running Windows XPP, virus & Spyware free...
Anyone know why, or a fix for this ?
Sincerely, Jeff Rogers
I have a 3160 and when I try to print from it, Windows Explorer encounters an error and the whole computer locks up. Exact same problem on two computers in the house.
I've tried the drivers from the disk as well as the drivers from Samsung's website and Windows Update driver.
I've tried to connect this printer directly through a USB cable as well as through the wireless network.
I can successfully get this to install to XP and Vista laptops, but the two tower PC's (different manufacturers) are the ones I can't get it to install on.
I've tried installing with anti-virus and firewalls turned on as well as turned off
I've tried installing with Windows XP SP2 and with Windows XP SP3
I've tried setting a working laptop up to share the printer, but the towers can't see the printer share.

When you went to the Gateway website and downloaded drivers, did you notice that under drivers there was nothing for the webcam? Use this link and download the webcam application under Applications tab. The driver is included in the application. http://panam.gateway.com/product/default.aspx?modelId=4104
Try re-installing the webcam software & use updated files if the maker offers them. You can also right click the short cut icon & make sure that run as administrator is checked & also run in compatibility for xpsp2 is checked & try it again. Those numbers are great but unfortunately, not even microsoft knows what they mean, lol. Believe me I've tried thier support a few times with "codes" & they told me they're just generic & don't point to anything usefull.
When you bought your computer should should have also received some CDs with any software that you purchased or that were included with your package. Sometimes you will get the original software CDs (which you can use to reinstall the software) and sometimes you will get a "recovery" CD created by your computer manufacturer which may contain the files you need to re-install multiple software applications. Look through your stuff that you got with your computer... it should be in there somewhere.
Install DELL Application for WireLess 370 Bluetooth Minicard. The application contains bluetooth kernel and driver. Device Manager would not show any device with "?" mark. The device would not be detected until you install the above application.
Thanks for sharing your problem,
Appcrash problem comes whenever any application stops working abruptly. There may be several reasons.
If this happenes with any particular applications:-
Please goto control panel --> Administrative tools --> Event viewer. See the red indicated message if some file crash is reported. Please repair windows either using WinDoc, System Mechanic or Windows Setup CD.
Uninstall application repair regietery and reinstall it.
If this happened with all the applications including windows programs:-
Please check if RAM is currupt (Replace RAM and see effect)
Repair/Upgrade Windows using same Windows Installar Disk
You have to have an application to use the LightScribe function; Nero Burning ROM and a bunch of others can do it, including some standalone apps. In the burning application, just create a volume with a LightScribe label, and it will prompt you to take a burned CD and flip it top-down in the burner for labeling. If you run some standalone app, it will have you do the same thing once your design is saved...and you tell it to go to work (or you can send to a print driver which just happens to be the lightscribe application.) There's a huge difference in design complexity allowed between various applications; be sure and get one that suits you best. Try VersionTracker as an application catalog if you like.
