Hey Chappy 2, Due to the copy protection encoded into most DVD's, you won't be able to use the standard drag-and-drop interface that many MP3 players use if you are looking to copy a movie file onto your player. Additionally, most DVD's will contain movie files in a format that may not be able to be recognized by the Zune itself (such as .VOB and .IFO file types). According to information provided by the manufacturer, the Zune currently supports .W4V, .MP4, and .WMV file formats while providing limited support .MOV (QuickTime) video files. Unfortunately this means that in order to copy a movie file over to your Zune, it would need to be present on the DVD or your computer in one of these recognizable formats. Hope this helps you out. Sincerely, Aaron Go Ahead. Use Us.
You have to put the movie/video in the right format it says in the specifications the formats that will work. You might have to get a video converter. To find out the format right click choose properties and it will say.To get a video converter just search video converter online.
buy I'm too zune. it's a great program & very easy to use I have about 8 movies in my 30 gb zune. just go in to their web site & read the instructions there is a try out period. buy it will only down load half of your videos. but it is only to try it out.
just google "Zune video converter" to get ahold of a converter... the first link is usually fine...
After you get the conversion you just toss the converted file into a folder monitored by the Zune software and it will pick it up automatically. From there you right click the name of the file in the Zune software and click "transfer to zune"
