Dead watch My expedition watch has lost all function and new battery put in bu local jewler does nothing. I need the watch with the 3 alarms to help me take my seizure medicines. I had another watch just like this one and had a problem with the alarms when battery was replaced. I sent the watch in and a new watch was sent out I believe. After putting the caseback back on, press all four buttons simultaneously to reset the watch. This worked for me.

Timex expedition compass, alarm does not sound since battery replacement.

You will find an arrow head on the outside back of your watch where all the printing is. When you put this lid back on, this arrow needs to be aligned with a notch on the inside edge where the cover goes on. As you are looking at the watch from the back with the cover off this notch is in a northwesterly direction. If you doubt it then just hold the back on without popping it in all the way and hit your mode button to make sure that you hear the beeps again. If you do, then you've found the right spot...

I cant get it to start. Iv swung the watch till my arm hurts but still nothing. suggestions? PC3166 is the model

Your watch is a quartz type (not a self winding one), so swinging it about will not help.

I presume that your watch is new and has not been running; is that correct?

Some watches are dispatched with a plastic wedge under the crown wheel to prevent them running while on the jewlers' shelf. Has yours got one still in position?

If it hasn't, then I can only think that the battery is dead and needs replacing. If you bought it locally, have you spoken to them. Otherwise try to contact the supplier and discuss your problem with them (if you haven't already done so). They should send you a replacement under warrranty if they haven't any solution to your problem.

Lost the beep on my timex watch alarm

Try taking the back off and orientating it the other way (i.e. turn top for bottom). You don't have to screw it down to see if this will work. As soon as the back clicks in you will be able to hear beeps as you press the buttons

Watch lost 10mins daily then stoped . bought in jamaica in september 09, took watch to get new battery, jewler said battery was fine ,tried new one watch did not function. said mecanism not working

Probably the mechanism is dirty or gummy. If I had it I would try some special spray that helps to clean the gears. Then I would use an instrument that pulses the movement and gets in moving again. Maybe someone could do that for you. Generaly, if that doesn't work then ii is cheaper to just replace the movement rather than spend more money on the labor to try and revive your old movement, Lots of luck

How to replace battery for Timex expedition

Remove the four screws that hold the battery cover on the back of the watch. Remove the 3 very small screws that hold the battery in place. Remove the battery from the battery holder. The piece that the 3 small screws were removed from seperates from the 3 volt 2016 energizer battery. Replace the battery with a new one. Re-install the battery holder to the watch. There is a small tab on the lower left part of the battery holder that needs to be depressed to activate the watch. Depress it and look at the face of the watch to make sure it is activated. The watch will need to have the time, date etc reset but you should now be able to see that the battery is working. Replace the battery cover and reset the time and date as needed.

Timex Men's Digital Expedition Chrono Alarm Timer Watch battery

hi
please follow the steps to change the battery
  1. Step 1 Make sure the little arrow on the back is aimed to the right. Then, insert a small flat head screwdriver into the notch on the edge, and lever the back open. Place the back to one side.
  2. Step 2 Unscrew the clip holding the battery (if your model has a clip), and remove the battery.
  3. Step 3 Use plastic tweezers to put in a new battery. Do not directly touch the new battery. Screw the clip (if it has one) back on.
  4. Step 4 Replace the gasket that seals the watch. Then lightly coat the gasket with a silicone-based grease.
  5. Step 5 Align the back with the little arrow aimed to the right again, then carefully press the watch between two pieces of wood that are being held by a small vise, until the back seats itself.
thank you....
