do a factory reset by pressing power+ top volume+ home button together on the boot screen (the screen that says your phones name) and use the volume key to go up or down and home to select, go down and press clear chachie and data (separately) and press reeboot phone (note: once a photo of an android or picture comes let go of the home button when getting the factory reset screen)
this screen should pop up and press reset (note all your stuff will be gone and the phone will be like how you first brought it in an shop)
Well.. Umm.. Do you know how it could of been turned upside down? Well you could try going to SETTINGS and then to SECURTIY and from there you could try RESTORING IT. Now, i don't know if this will fix your problem... But it MIGHT work.
PLEASE NOTE: When restoring your phone, you put it back to the factory settings
