It sounds to me that you have starter problems or connection chaffing.
There ia a component called a starter that connects to the video portion of the MB. the starter then connects to the backlight to fire the backlight up and you could be having one that is dying fast. Seek a professional to replace or get the specific one from a distributer and install yourself if you have the ability. The wires that go from the video to the starter travel through the hinge section and over time these can wear and cause inteference to the screen. Might want to check this out also. Make sure you are experienced before attempting to open up a laptop. The final cause (worst case) could be the video itself, in which case your sunk and need a new MB.

Wheni turn on my system nothing come on screen i could see that that power is comming but screen is dead

Try to use another working moniter and see if it fixes that.
If that doesn't work different grpahics card/PSU/ram until you find the broken component.

My compaq persario sr1000 power is on the fan is on. but it beeps with a short beep and keep on. beeps pause and beeps again all with the power on but no picture on the moniter

Your ram/ram slot may have gone bad, contact Compaq Tech support for detailed instructions.

For a basic idea of what to do if you know what your doing:
1. Pull out 1 ram card in the first slot
2. Start up system
3. If beeping appears leave that slot empty
4. continue until beeping stops

Side Note:
If you keep removing all the ram cards and the beeping continues, I probably got the wrong error.

This computer has Windows XP freshly loaded with all Service Packs. Occasionally the boot up process stops at the Dragon flash screen. Then I shut off the computer, wait a few hours. Then it may boot up...

If your CMOS battery is not retaining your system setting you will see this problem...One way to know if this your problem is to go into setup and check the system time, also stopping at the Flash screen
it could be waiting for user input...You could try changing your setting from stop on error to not stop
on error

Sony PCG 392-M Vgn FZ-21E The lcd screen colours start changing cyan and red in thin lines.

Hi

It looks like the ribbon feeding the screen back to the base may have come loose or possibly even broken in places

I would recommend the following

1) Go into safe mode (swith the pc on and keep pressing F8 repeatedly until you have a menu presented to you, from the menu choose safe mode) and try there............if the same occurs then you will need to book it in and get a qualified engineer to look at it becaue it is hardware related

2) if it doesnt happen in safe mode then you will have to get the drivers reinstalled

However from what you are explaining it looks like you may be going down the option 1 route

Please can i ask that you leave feedback and vote if this has been useful

Opened computer panel and then when i rebooted nothing happened.

Did you disconnect the power before you stick something in there? Because the FDS Has power to it when the PC is turned off... You probably shorted out the mother board....

It does not start, gives one long beep (about 2-3 seconds) silence and beep again

Switching DDR cards solved the problem. I was getting long beeps every 2 seconds. No short beeps. Just one long beep every 2 seconds. Thanks Josh Whitehead.
