HP Officejet Pro L 7580-can't turn it on

When I push the power switch, the power does not go on. I have checked the plugs and other connections. Nothing seems to work. What am I missing?

1-try a different outlet
2-check for continuity in the power plug
3- if the two above are ok then the problem is with the power supply board of the printer.
4-open and check the fuse on the power supply board

I bought all new cartridges, inserted them the way they were removed, but message board still says defected cartridges. how to install ink properly and make error message disappear?

Here is a video from HP explaining the process. IF you followed this procedure and are getting errors, then you may have bigger issues. I am assuming you are using genuine HP ink, not remanufactured or refilled cartridges.

Printers are basically slaves to the software and the drivers that connect the printer to the computer. Increase the dpi in the computer program and then check the printer driver for max dpi setting.

I installed HP officejet 8600 new printer cartridges, now "there is a problem with the printer or ink system. turn printer off then on. if problem persists, call HP"

Try this once: remove the cartridges you did place, check if all contacts are clean and place them back, one by one. Just a little piece of paper or plastic can spoil the fun. Also check the con acts in the printer if you can see them. (eventually use a slash light)
Make sure all cartridges are correctly placed and every lit and lock is closed correct.
Then start again.
If tis does not help, call HP.

Canon dr 7580 not functioning on start up on all 3 computers

It appears more like System problem. Run Scandisk/chkdsk on the comp. If possible reinstall the OS, all the drivers. Reinstall Captureperfet. To the best of my knowledge there is no licence file with Canon. It could be some virus!

Transfer scan settings from one computer to another?

You need to do it only once! Capture perfect remembers the previous setting. If you install Capture perfect in another system it will be only in the defalut mode. You cannot transfer the settings
