Question about Hoover Vacuums

1 Answer

My Hoover vacuum is not vacuuming the carpets or floors. When I release the tube to use the smaller end the suction works perfect. So i believe the problem is in the rods on the floor or in the part that vacuums the floor! Can you tell me how to fix it , or where can I take it to get it fixed? thanks

Ive just had the exact same problem. In the very back lower portion of the vacuum You will need to take it apart. I guarantee there is a clog. You might also check your belts to make sure they are still on track.

Where do you put attachments to make them work?

There is a button on the handle that releases the suction tube from the floor brush housing. Once the suction tube is released from the brush assembly, you can install the attachments on the suction tube.

No suction means somewhere in the intake side of the system you have either a blockage or an air leak.

There is too much suction even with the hand tools on Hoover wind tunnel. Can i adjust suction somehow?

Hi, it's Jeremy from Crucial Vacuum.

If there is too much suction, adjust the nozzle control knob to a higher setting. The knob is located on the front of the vacuum at the bottom. For optimal cleaning efficiency a low setting should be used for most types of carpet and for hardwood floors, tile, and deep carpets use a higher setting.

Water comes out when trigger is squeeze but wont **** up dirty water

A. Is your floor/hose knob in the correct position?
B. Do you have suction at the hose end, when in that position?
C. If you answered yes, no in that order then either your motor (provides the suction) is going bad, or it simply is clogged and needs to be serviced.

Hoover Savvy has limited suction when cleaning the floor and carpet

With the unit standing upright, double check the clear plastic air passages on the sides of the vacumn to see if they are clogged.

Hoover Windtunnel carpet level adjustment

The suction is so great that it sucks up your carpet, then nothing works. I get my children to stand on the corners/edges of the rug so that it stays perfectly flat on the floor while I vacuum. Or, you can turn off the brush roller (set it to "hard floor" setting). Or, tip the vacuum cleaner's front up slightly while vacuuming, to reduce suction.

Hoover savvy no suction on carpet setting

Check to make sure you hear the vac. motor is running when in that position. The switch in the handle could be bad if it is not.

There should be a bottom plate covering the brush roll that you can remove, if you can't dig out the what is in there, try using your hose and suck it out from the bottom, maybe you will be able to get it out.

NO SUCTION ON FLOOR

Dear Thyagie, since you said the cleaning tool attachment is working,I guess that means the cleaning tool attachment still has suction" so theirs a good chance that there is a clog that needs to be cleared and you wont need a new vacuum at this time.

But you will need to try and trace the clog and clear it. I would start with the tube by the roller brush and work my way up from there !
Also check the roller brush and the belt and make sure it's working properly. If your vacuum has a filter make sure it is clean, and of course make sure the vacuum bag is not full.

I hope this helps,EarlsOK
