Question about Kodak Easyshare G600 (1633379) Dock / Cradle

1 Answer

Easyshare G600 Dock

My daughter dropped the unit and the feed roller popped out at one end. I managed to relocate the roller and it turns freely. There does not appear to be any other damage but the paper will not feed with the message add paper. The rollers pick the paper up and pulls it in at least part of the way but that's as far as it gets.

a gear is likely off inside.... shake it gently (no don't have your daughter do it) and see if you hear anything rattling around in it.

Robert,
I first tried shaking my daughter but that didn't work. The unit itself doesn't rattle at all and is otherwise undamaged. I will ask my local camera/ electronics repair shop to look at it. They repaired a video camera at a reasonable price when everyone else said it was uneconomic.
If too expensive, I will try taking it apart. I am wary of this because sometimes you take a screw out and something drops down inside but OK as a last resort.
Thank you for your help.

Windows vista wont allow Kodak G600 printer to print pictures using easyshare program

Hi lomls3,
Are you using Kodak Easyshare ver8? If not, you may need to update the software in order for Vista to send the print jobs to the Kodak G600 printer.
Update the software to ver 8 first. Reboot the computer and retry printing.
Ver 8 can be downloaded here: http://www.opendrivers.com/driver/293165/kodak-digital-camera-kodak-easyshare-software-update-8.0-windows-2000-xp-vista-win7-free-download.html
Hope this helps.

I found a how to video on the web.Turn off your printer. Hold down the left arrow button and transfer button at the same time, then turn your printer back on. You should hear it make some noises, open side door push on cartridge to see that it is locked in. Then hit the green release button on the inside and the cartridge should come out on its own.
