The scanner portion of this 815mfp will not power up when plugged in. Turning on the power button does not show any lights on the users control panel at all.

This problem sounds like the DC power supply has failed - in particular the 5VDC. The LEDs and logic all run on 5 volts. Try replacing the DC power supply Designjet 815mfp Power Supply

What part do I need to replace

Hello. What you are describing is a failing component on the power supply. Some part is working momentarily and then heats up and fails. Replace the power supply and you will likely fix the plotter. Power supplies can be ordered from: 0950 2623R HP Designjet 700 750C 755CM Power Supply

Update firmware

firmware is not likely to cure this fault , this is usually the first and only sign of the power supply failing ( can you hear a gentle buzzing noise near the back cover?) does the display take a little time for the characters to light up- it may even throw up a hdd error on initialize .
after a quick check of the display panel my first stop would be change the power supply.

Hello. 0B000D error during start-up indicates a 24VDC failure. This is generally caused by a failed DC power supply. There are 2 types of power supplies - 1 for the 1050C series and 1 for the 1050C Plus series. They can both be found at: HP Designjet 1050C 1055CM repair parts

HP Designjet 110 plus does not print yellow

if the cartridge is full or empty, try another cartridge. If the cartridge has ink in it then run the cleaning program in its software and a test page from the control panel>printers> HP icon

Hp designjet 110 plus with a system error 86:11

The 86.11 is a carriage movement error. Unplug the unit for a minute then power it up again. If there is still an error code check for obstructions in the carriage path. Make sure that the carriage moves freely. Also check the carriage for free movement and the printheads are properly seated.

Hope this helps.

Kitchenaid - water suppy not feeding

The water valve is either clogged or burned out. Easiest to check is whether it is burned out. Turn off power, remove kick panel, find where incoming water supply pipe attachs to valve and remove both wires to valve. Zero your ohmmeter and check for continuity across terminals. If it has continuity, valve is good. Use test meter to check for voltage from timer. Connect test meter leads to wires you removed, restore power, close door and put timer, or control panel, to where dishwasher should start filling. If there is 110 volts at the wires to the water valve, the valve is clogged. If there is no voltage, the timer or control is bad and must be replaced.
