If you are performing 1-variable statistical calculations, that presupposes you have one set of data only. Technically all you need is ONE LIST where the data is stored (ex. L1) . However if you have some data elements that are repeteated, you may choose to create a second list where you enter r the frequency (L2 or other). Both lists must have the same dimension (length).
When you bring up the 1-var calculation menu , the list of data elements is specified on one line (Xlist) and the fequency List is specified on the menu line Frequency. Thus there is no need to enter two lists on the Xlist line.
