Move the printhead to the position you want a tab set. Then hold down the CODE key and hit the key under where T SET is printed above the keys on the keyboard. Do this for every tab you want to set. If you want to clear a tab set, tab to the one you want to remove and hold down the CODE key and hit the key under T CLR.

How to clear history of tabs and margins to start over on the Brother GX-6750

Unfortunately, I don't think you can reset all of the margins and tabs at once. To reset a specific margin, move to that margin and then press ALT and the 6 key simultaneously. (That's the Margin Release.) If you are resetting the left margin, press the backspace (or space) key until you reach the new margin location. Then press Alt + 7 (L Margin) to set the new margin. For the right margin, press space (or backspace) until you reach the new margin location. Now, press Alt + 8 to set the new right margin location.

You can clear all of the tabs by pressing and holding Alt + 0 (tab clear) for over half a second.

The manual for the GX-6750 is available from Brother on the product support site: http://www.brother-usa.com/support/ModelInfo.aspx?R3ModelID=GX6750 . Click on the Manuals & Documents tab. The direct link to the manual (in English) is http://www.brother-usa.com/VirData/Content/en-US%5CTypewriters%5CConsumer%5CUsersManual%5CUM_AX325_GX_6750_EN_5674.PDF / The procedure to set the margins is on page 2. The procedure to set the tabs is on page 5.

I hope this helps.

How do I release the set tabs

Try pressing key marked "T clr", tab clear, and then press return key.If that doesn't work, remove the AA batteries and turn machine on. If tabs are cleared, you can re-install the batteries. The only job the batteries perform is to keep your tabs and margin sets in memory when you turn machine off.

Tabs are pre-set & won't clear permanently

You are probable in a format mode of some kind. Remove the batteries, turn off for 30 sec., this will set all to default settings.

THE MEMORY WILL BE CLEARED!!!
