Question about Yahoo Messenger
I have a windows vista computer and whenever i go to chatrooms, usually with my old desktop computer i was able to hear people speaking on their microphone in a public chatrooms. when i got this vista computer it wont let me hear other people because its giving me an error saying "audio compression format is not compatible..." something like that. so now im wondering is it because yahoo is not advanced yet for windows vista computer? or yahoo messenger chatrooms can only work with xp,2000 or what? because my old computer is windows XP and it worked there before. please i need solution on this. thanks
Vista is not much different to xp ... it just has a load of extra trimmings that you dont really need.
try checking your sound card drivers and make sure yahoo is set to use the appropriate device.
Vista also is an operating system that takes up a lot more disk space. Bill gates likes to sell stuff that you think is improved but really its just an excuse for them to make more money.
