I have a frigidaire affinity front load washer that will not lock and start. I turn the dial, all pertinent lights come on, but no door lock and it alternates between cycle time and "Pau" which signifies pause. I have taken the top and front off and unplugged all of the wires that connect to the front control panel and I have left it unplugged. I need help...

I see that your Frigidaire washer, FAFW3517KW, is constantly showing you pause, when you press start it flashes the pause again, and that the door lock light does not come on. You could be seeing a couple of different possible reasons this is happening such as your control panel, door lock assembly, or door switch. Since it could be any of the underlying issues I would recommend having a professional come out to the home and repair the washer. -Matt

Hello zabbster - Typically the DR or DO error code indicates that the door switch is not closed. Make sure that the door lock is completely closed. If the door is closed, make sure the door latch is not broken. If the latch is broken, you may possibly need to replace the door lock switch.

I am having this same exact issue, have you figured out what the was?

dr means the door switch is not closed. Thus meaning the door lock assembly is bad and needs to be replaced.part number is 131763245 and price is $48.99

under 1st yr warr, sure if thats he issue they would cover, it, a clogged drain pump may cause the same problem though , not being able to drain water , the pump would just hum.

Try holding the 'options' & 'select' buttons together till the door lock button comes on. This is the child lock function. You can do it again for the lock to come off. Hold down for over 3 seconds

If the washer fills with water, but will not start the wash cycle or spin, it is 1 of to things. the most common for frigidaire front load affinitys is the door lock assembly. I have had to replace numerous of these. if the door lock indicator is not on when it tries to wash, you need to replace the door lock assembly. if the door lock indicator is on, but wont wash, it is likly that you have a bad motor control board.

The control is most likely bad. If lights flash on front let me know which ones and how many as it will sometimes tell me what the failure is. Thanks, please leave feedback or contact me again for more info if you need it.
