It's a rather indepth process and is usually just easier to replace the computer.  Motherboards have many different adapters / slots / options.  If you're meaning to replace the motherboard and processor cpu, it'd be best to buy a package deal from newegg / tigerdirect / etc.  To be able to use your other components, you'd have to make sure the new motherboard has the same type memory slots, video card slot, etc.

How do i upgrade my bios?

The best bet would to be to buy a new motherboard. In order to get the full effect out of that processor you don't want to install it in a older computer. The computer isn't that old but the requirements for a E8400 can be pretty high. Check out newegg.com or microcenter.com and look for a motherboard that supports everything the E8400 has to offer.

HP Media Center PC m1195c will not turn on,has green blinking light on back near power plug.

Remove your main power cable on the back of your PC. Let it sit idle for an hour and then try and power it up again. The memory in the BIOS should clear up and power back on.

Computer will not boot up after i disconnect power

If the component with the blinking green light is on your network card, it has nothing to do with your problem, but does demonstrate that *********** board is NOT fried or there would be no voltage available to make the light blink.

Something on your board may be fried, but not the entire board.

Unit needs board level service, so obtain an RMA, if available and submit the unit for bench testing and service.

Hp computer desktop model hp media center m1195c

Big problem!!! I know that the problem is not that NTLDR is missing. There is a file call boot.ini on the C: that contains the info where the OS is located, for your computer. It is very touchy to change that file. Did you install another OS on your hard drive? Maybe the MBR was scrapped with a new installation. Did you change the HD partitions?

Please, add some infos.
