Question about RCA TH1602 MP3 Player
My computer recconises that I have a device attached, but cannot read the device for what it is. Also player freases every time try to turn on. Even while doing a battery reseting.
Try removing the battery, insert Pearl WHILE SIMULTANEOUSLY PRESSING the "PLAY" button. Windows Device Manager should see the device under "Human Interface Devices"as a "USB Human Interface Device". Run the latest firmware update, it will see the HID device and initialize it as a "Disk Drive", "_Generic MSC Recovery USB Device". Once the firmware update is complete the Pearl should work again. The trick was to remove the battery and hold down the "Play" button to force recovery mode.

click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
