D915GEV Intel Motherboard - Will not boot after plugging in printer USB cable

Last night I decided to plug in a printer I had previously (a year ago) installed on my computer but has just not plugged it in since i moved. Upon plugging it in, my computer froze. It would not respond to anything so I hard to do a hard reboot. It will not boot at all. The MoBo is not responding. When I turn it on, all fans will run but nothing else.

Any Ideas? I am thinking of clearing the CMos tonight to see if that fixes the problem but I am lost at the significance of the USB connection and what caused the problem.

It is possible that the 9400GL is not compatible with your motherboard. Might be possible that the max video memory is 512MB.
Maybe a BIOS update can solve this.

Hi, pc doesn't load bios

Hey just remove the hard disk and and removable drive and then try.
And check that your hard disk data cable and cd/dvd driver data cable is in good position or not. Many times the problem is happens because of cable. So you just try a new cable.

Sounds like you definitely have something that is intermittently not making proper contact. I'd suggest checking all of the cable connectors first. Disconnect each one and reseat it. If that doesn't do the trick, you may have a broken land pattern on the motherboard. That usually means a motherboard replacement.
