You don't say what operating system you are using, but if you go to the following link at HP.com, you can download the drivers and software needed to install the printer:

Software and Driver Downloads

Actually, I've connected HP printers to both Windows and Linux computers and managed to get them to print using the onboard drivers in the computers, however the HP software page should work for you just fine. You'll need to click on the name of your operating system once you get to the web page and it'll point you to the right software.

Good luck.

I have had the printer for a couple of years and have recently purchased a new computer but cannot find the disc to download the software onto new computer

If you are having trouble finding the discs, you always have the option to look for the said drivers online. You would either need to go to the manufacturer's web site and look for the driver of the printer.

You can also look it up online by using Google. You would just need to type in the Brand name + Model Number + then add the word driver, then paste it to the Google search field to start searching for it. If you still got problem, you can ask us here again. However, please do include the brand name and model number of the printer.

Hope this helps!

If you do not have the driver in your PC.
Please follow instructions given below :
If you had got your PC with new brands then I'm sure that you had got your driver's with your PC when you purchased. If you are forgotten your driver disc then try to install with new one.

If you purchased your PC in second hand then you have to purchase this disc driver which you want. You can get these or which you want to add the driver at computer shokeeper nearly at your home.

I hope my instrucions will help you to add the driver.

Just got a new compaq computer windows and my lexmark z23 printer isn't work now

Did you check the Microsoft Compatability List (search that title) to see if your Lexmark is supported by the new OS on your new Compaq?

Please check the list. If yo dont find your printer listed, you will have to ask Lexmark for a driver that will work with your new computer. E-mail them if you cant find it at www.lexmark.com/support. If you dont have any luck, you might find a 3rd party driver, but you will probably have to pay for it. You could reconnect your Lexmark to your old printer and add it to your netrwork and print that way. Finally, if none of this works out, you may have to purchase a new printer certified to run on your new OS.

BTW, this is a very common thing with old printers and new computers. That is why Microsoft built the Compatability Listing.

I purchased a new computer and tried to add my printer to the new computer. The printer is not included in the preprogrammed list already on the computer and the disc will not work. How do I get my printer...

Hello,
http://welcome.hp.com/country/ca/en/support.html
This is the Canadian site for driver downloads but it seems to work better than it's .com equivalent but you just type in your model number, 2575 and it will bring you to a list of downloads, you want the setup and driver downloads.
This should get you off the ground, if you're still having trouble with it, let me know!
Hope this helps!
