To open the case you will need to pry off the front grip with a small flat screwdriver or similar object. This will reveal screws underneath. Remove the screws to take off the cover.
If the rest of the shaver works OK, then there may be a small detent on the slides that is broken; this could be on the trimmer grooves or in the mating grooves on the shaver body. In either case, you may need a new part.
If none are broken, then you may be able to press it back in the same way it came out; light pressure, but do not force. If unsuccessful, you may have to pry off the back to reinstall. A flat (not sharp) object inserted in the groove that runs around the body should pop it free; pry carefully as you work around the case. If unable, your options are to find a service shop or replace.
Most likely, there is a build up preventing the foil from latching into place properly. See video at shaveroutlet.com to help correct this problem. See link below
