whenever i switch my printer on, it starts initialising. usually the scanwagon (i dont really know how its called - that device that has the light on it ... which actually scans the documents) would go foreward a bit and then was pulled back into its "start position". yet now it keeps pulling back, even when its way back and starts to make cracking noises in an attempt to pull further back.
i can't print, copy or scan anything anymore, because it is stuck in initialisation. i have already tried disconnecting the power-chord fo 30 sec ..... and i have tried pulling the power-chord for 30 sec, then holding the "cancel" and "right arrow" button simultaneously while putting the power-chord back. nothing has helped yet :(
i hope someone can help me on his issue! thank you in advance!!
I have the same problem, the printer is stuck in the initializing mode and tries to move the scanner beyond stopping position. While doing so, it can not be stopped by other means, than taking away the power supply.

3.if there is a primer bubble 5-10 pushs might say next to bubble
4.IF YOUV\'E NEVER STARTED A CHAINSAW PUT IT UPRIGHT ON FLAT GROUND andput you right foot as far in the trigger handle as you can, put enough weight to stop the bar or chain touching dirt, dirt will blunten a chain very quickly
5.grab the top bar with left hand firmly
6.pull out or raise the choke the whole way.
7.switch on the on/off switch
8.make sure your as much weight on your hand an foot holding the saw and pull the cord fast but never the whole way out or else it will snap over time and when it cant come out anymore it will jerk the chainsaw which can make the bar hit dirt and your chain will get blunt!!! or your leg but that wont blunten the saw
9.keep pulling the cord until you hear the engine fire,
Probably 3-5 descent pulls, it just revs a little loader and longer.
when it fires push the choke back in the whole way
10.pull the cord a few more times and it will start up dont pull the trigger till youv\'e taken the chainbrake off, or youll burn out the clutch. dont forget dont let the chain touch dirt a blunt chain makes cutting really hard on you and the saw.
If you know how its worth stopping and sharpening it as soon begins to lose its edge your back will love you for it, and you get more wood cut. But if you dont sharpen evenly and at the right angles it can be as bad as hitting dirt because it wont cut straight and get stuck
I have the same problem- It keeps saying SYSTEM INITIALISING. light is Green. It is a multixpress 63222DN. It was working fine until we replaced the cartridge. Now it is not even working with the old cartridge. Any one else with similar issue? Restarted, left it on all night , removed cartrifge and put back- replaced cartridge- removed drum and put back still no joy. The only thing as Ricardo mention - the fuse- how do you take it out?
Press the window 'open' switch beyond the second switching position. When the window has reached the lower final position, operate the switch for at least 15 seconds but not longer than 25 seconds. Then let go of the button and immediately pull the switch beyond the 'close window' position. Do not let go of the switch! The window now moves into the top final position, stops, then moves to the lower final position, stops again and then moves back to the upper final position. The switch must be held in the "pulled beyond engaging point" position during the entire procedure. Once the window has reached the upper final position, the initialisation is complete.
We have found to fix this problem the best option is to push the print head back to its home position (far right) and unplugging the printer for 1 min or so (just to make sure its memory has lost all awareness we messed with it). Then plug it in and it goes fine... The problem we used to have is the same many of you are complaining about it drains ink like a vampire whenever you have to restart it. To cope with this we have upgraded our firmware which has drastically decreased the amount of ink we waist due to less cleaning and agitating functions. Hope this helps out someone it took us a while to get back
Probably your waste ink counter. Should be cleaned or replaced before resetting
but usually you can get away with resetting once. 1. Start with printer
OFF 2. Hold down RESUME and then hold down POWER 3. Release RESUME 4.
press RESUME twice, then release POWER 5. let green light blink until
printhead has finished moving. 6. Select functions below with RESUME, execute
with POWER
0 presses - green light - Test Print 1 press - orange light - EEPROM info print 2 presses - green light -
EEPROM initialise 3 presses - orange light - reset waste ink counter.
Using the LPT port is not the same as using the network port. The LPT port does not utulise an IP address.
Plug in a network cable to network port and the printer wil usually aquire an ip address via DHCP.
I repeat the LPT port is not a network port and cant initialise an ip address
I believe that after changing the ink cartridge you havent completed the alignment process. This Alignment test page will print everytime you turn the printer ON.To Complete the alignment follow my steps.
1.After turning the printer ON, wait untill the printer prints the Alignment test page.
2.Then place the alignment test paper on the scanner, facing down in a correct position.
3.Then press the Scan button(color) and wait untill the printer ON light stops flashing.
4.After the light stops flashing, take the paper out and the alignment process is completed.
Turn OFF and turn On the printer, it will not print the Test page again.try it and please let me know.Would really appreciate your rating for my solution.
Hi Try this, remove all paper and bins. then get alcohol and a clean cloth, clean all rollers and tires. You will get a lot of black dirt and stuff off after cleaning really well try, if it works for a while then yhat was your problem, if it is only temporary then tires will need replacing.
Comment by check it right,
