Question about Washing Machines

Spinning out of control!

My washing machine sounds like it is going to come through the wall. It only does this on the spin cycle. I have taken the cabinet off and made a few observations, but I can't determine what the problem is. I have noticed that one of the base pads has deteriorated. It is the back one. The 2 up front seem to be ok and the plate pads seem ok. I also have changed for level and that seems fine so. Pleae help!!!

Mine has the noisy spinning since the third or fourth month we own it!! We finally have the company come out (still under warranty). The techician told us that it sounds like we have used it 6-7 a days for the last 7 years. We are just a family of four. The problem seems to be the bearing. At any rate, he is coming back with parts to fix it this week. We also have the F35 problem. I am not impress with whirlpool anymore.

I could not find anything wrong expect for a snubber pad. I went ahead and started over from the beginning with releveling everything. That seemed to fix the issue. I am however going to go ahead and replace the snubber pads.

When it is spinning open the lid and see if the spinning stops or if it is relational to the spinning of the drum. It sounds like either the clutch is bad or the brake shoes are rubbing or maybe something is stuck between the drum and the tank wall.

Washer Problem

Could be the motor controller failed - a loose belt, or a lid switch.

Further testing is necessary without guessing.

Washing Machine Stopped Working

Hi Beth, sounds like you broke a belt. You can verify this by pulling the washer away from the wall and tipping it back to look underneith. Should have two belts, pump and drive. The part numbers are 211124 pump and 211125 drive. Catriver, post back.
