Question about Computers & Internet

4 Answers

I have a new compaq computer which has recently downloaded all my old infomation. However, now my live messenger hotmail account continues to revert back to the classic version of hotmail when I want the FULL version. I never had this problem before. I am totally illiterate about computers and had the old info install for me.

I do not have a desktop Compaq, my computer is a laptop 6820s. How will my response be sent to me?

  • benkeJones Sep 26, 2008

We have tried multiple times to uninstall and then install and the same problem exist. It changes to the full version and as soon as I hit back for something on the computer, it reverts to the classic version of live windows. I am having to go to options and change back to full a dozen or so times a day. My staff person who is helping me wrote the following note to me after all these uninstalls and reinstalls. See below: benkejones

    From Alicia to Wanda
I had to choose this under options:

Use the full version. We'll only give you the
classic version if you're using a browser or a monitor
    that requires it.

I think we need to contact them and ask them what type of browsers
or monitors require the classic version instead of the full.
Maybe there is a setting we need to change.

Could you please check if you have the service pack installed on your PC.

As for Window Live Messenger, minimum PC requirement is Win XP with service Pack 2

Vista with service pack 1
