Question about Printers & Copiers

I have an X83 3-in-1, ser. #09040652130, machine type: 4403.002. My printer starts the printing process OK but after about a 1 inch insertion, it quits. I then get the Jam message to free any paper. I do this by pulling out the small insertion from the top. Repeating the process has the same result. The paper I use is Georgia-Pacific 88 brightness, 20 weight. You may need to check the inside part of the printer and check for any foreign object there that is really causing this problem, because that those type of foreign object can cause this...

Canon mp258 printer can not fine driver on my computer it only picked up the scander part


Possible causes of failure:

1. Error install driver process
How to install the correct driver canon
- Do not connect the printer to the computer. So, turn on the printer but do not connect the printer to the computer.
- Insert the driver CD and do the install process.
- At the time of the install process, it would appear the request connect the printer to the computer.
- Connect the printer to the computer. The computer will detect the printer, and install process will continue until completed.
- Then, press the START - Printers and Faxes - Right click the Canon MP258 series Printer - select Printing preferences - click Maintenance - Print head alignment - Align print head - OK - etc. Perform print head alignment until completion (approximately 3 times the heat print alignment). Print head alignment, to configure the printer and computer.
- After the print head alignment is completed, the printer is ready to use.

Install the wrong driver canon
- Connect the printer to the computer, then perform install process.
- Solution: disconnect the USB cable from the printer to the computer, then uninstall the drivers and applications that are already installed, then restart the computer.
- Repeat the process to install in the correct way.

2. Drivers don't support the operating system

Tenho uma D7160 com error 0cx18a0201 o que pode ser


un install the software and restart machine.then unplug it from the computer.
start the machine the insert the cd in the drive and install the software untill it ask you to plug the pri nter.
after complete installation please go to start menu and open printer and faxes and set it as a default printer.
if it refuses try print and change the printer type and it will work thank you.

Hi, my HP Laserjet 1020 is not printing. It gave me the error, 0x000006ba the printer spooler is not running. Please help!!!!


click on start and then select run

in the run window type in services.msc and hit ok

in the services local window look for print spooler

double click on it and start the process and also select automatic instead of manual or disabled... hit apply and ok and then try again

If printing and toner runs out can I delete job in process?


Yes you can
Open Control Panel - from START button
Open Printers and Faxes Folder
Highlight the Printer icon - Right click and click on Cancel All documents.
If this does not cancel.. try these steps below


Click on Start button
Click on Run
Type SERVICES.MSC and click ok
look for Print Spooler in the list
highlight Print Spooler,
Click on STOP button then click on START
close the window and check if the print queue is gone.

Alternate method,

Click STart
Click RUN
Type Cmd ( or COMMAND ) and hit enter
In the black window type
NET STOP SPOOLER ( hit enter button )
Type
NET START SPOOLER ( hit enter button )

Repeat the Stop and START Command 4-5 times
End the Command with NET START SPOOLER

Open Printers and faxes folder - Refresh the Window - the printer will show STatus ready with 0 document

Print job won't cancel

To fix your issue please do the following:

To start or stop the printer spooler from a command line, follow these steps:

1. Click Start - Run
2. Type the following: net stop spooler
3. Hit Enter
(this will stop the print spooler service)
4. Click Start - Run
5. Type the following: net start spooler
6. Hit Enter
(this will start the print spooler service)

Printer not printing photos with all colors


  1. Lift the printer access door, then remove the ink cartridges from the printhead.
  2. Verify that the label on the ink cartridges is intact, and that the cartridges are not damaged.
  3. Verify that the KODAK Ink Cartridges have not been refilled.
  4. Insert the ink cartridges into the printhead, then press down firmly until you hear them click into position.
  5. Close the printer access door.
  6. Check the printer status monitor on your computer (or the LCD screen on the printer) to determine if there is sufficient ink available for your print job.
  7. NOTE: Once the "Black ink cartridge is low" or "Color ink cartridge is low" message is displayed, print quality can be affected.
  8. Reprint the picture or document that had the quality problem
If still same quality then...
  1. Load inkjet paper into the paper tray.
  2. On the control panel, press Menu.
  3. Select Calibrate Printer.
  4. Select Print Calibration Page
  5. Press Start.
  6. When the print is complete, press Cancel to end the calibration process.
  7. Check the six color bars on the printed calibration sheet.

Are the color bars completely filled with solid color?


If no then:

  1. Press Menu.
  2. Select Clean Printhead, then press OK.
  3. Select Deep Clean, then press OK. The On/Off light flashes green during the cleaning procedure.
  4. When the On/Off light glows steady, press OK.
  5. Select Calibrate Printer.
  6. Select Print Calibration Page
  7. Press Start.
  8. When the print is complete, press Cancel to end the calibration process.
  9. When the print is complete, press Cancel to end the calibration process.
  10. Check the six color bars on the printed calibration sheet.

Are the color bars completely filled with solid color?

If again No...

then printhead needs replacement... call Technical Support to get it replaced

Unable to re-start the spooler or restart the machine.


Open up your print queue. Cancel All jobs.

Go to the start menu and either click on, or search for cmd. This will open the command window. You also need to open your task manager.

In the task manager, search for a process called spoolsv.exe, or if that doesn't exist, find a process with "spool" in the name. This is your print spooling process. Right click the process, and end it. You can close the task manager now.

Next, go to the command prompt. Type "net start spooler" without the quotes, and hit enter. This should restart your spooling process. Close the command window, and try to print.

If this doesn't work, you should check to make sure you're printing to the correct printer If it doesnt solve the problem, uninstall your current printer (you may have to end the spoolsv.exe process again), and reinstall the drivers for your particular model, which you can find at the manufacturers website

Aligning printer after new ink cartridge inserted


SOLUTION: Start the cartridge alignment by performing a series of button presses from the front panel of the product.
  • HP PSC 1200 and 1300 series:
    1. Turn on the HP PSC 1200 or 1300 series product.
    2. Disconnect the USB cable from the all-in-one.
    3. Press the sequence of front panel buttons below to start the print cartridge alignment process. The button-press sequence must be completed within ten seconds. It might take several tries to complete the sequence within ten seconds.
      1. Press and hold Cancel .
      2. While holding Cancel , press On .
      3. When the Check Paper and Check Print Cartridge lights begin to blink simultaneously, release both buttons.
      4. Press Cancel again.
      5. Press Copies .
      6. Press Paper Type .
      7. Press Color Start Copy . The alignment page will begin printing. If the alignment page does not print, repeat the button-press sequence in this step.
    4. When the alignment page has printed, place the page face down on the scanner glass and press Scan . The alignment is complete when the On light stops blinking.
    5. Reconnect the USB cable.
CAUSE: This can occur if the cartridge alignment is canceled or times out without a valid print cartridge alignment stored in memory.
