Need installation instructions for Jenn-Air JEC9530ADB cooktop fan

Hi...It would be great if you could send me the instructions for replacing the fan on my Jenn-Air cooktop. I have located the part and a roll of new foam tape online, so I can order them today. But, the installation instructions that come with the parts are really bad, and I'm afraid to try this without better ones. My E-mail address is HAcree65@aol.com Thanks

Hi,,,,I have that cooktop, but in Europe and I don't know if this is going to work here, because of the 220 voltage and the 50 cycles(hrz). Anybody can highlight me on that, please

SOURCE: Jenn-Air Gas Cooktop Model CVGX2423

Just had this problem today on our seven or eight year old Jenn-Air cooktop. When using the front right burner all ignitors would continue to fire until I turned off the burner. The three other burners worked correctly. After trying all the obvious soulutions w/o success I pulled off that burners control knob and the rubber seal which exposed the valve. Their was a bunch of crud in there. I put a small (one inch) paint brush in there and vigorusly loosened all the crud. I then inserted the nozzle of our central vac - which just happened to fit perfectly - and sucked all the stuff out. I repeated the proceedure a couple more times, reassembled the knob and started the burner. Worked just perfectly!!! YMMV. Good luck.

SOURCE: cooktop fan switch replacement

1. Turn off the power at the breaker box.
2. lift off the air grill.
3. remove the two screws at the front of the control switch panel (escutcheon)..
4. slide the control panel forward until it disengages, then lift up to expose the switch assembly and wiring.

Hello Chuck,

Your request is for the Jenn-Air CVG-4280P gas cooktop installation instructions, even though the info at the top of the page states a JED8430 electric cooktop,

If I've got your request correct, here's a link to the installation instructions for the CVG-4280P cooktop.

Hi, W/D here.

The plenum is the box the blower assembly attaches to. The blower pulls the cooking vapors down the plenum (well) and discharges through the duct.

How to wire a jenn air cooktop JEC9530ADB

the new cooktops and ovens now have a 4th wire used for separating the ground and neutral. some new homes and remodeled homes have a 4th wire run from the circuit panel to the unit.
you dont have this but it is ok to just hook up the white and green/ground wires together. then red to red and black to black. it will work properly and thats all you have to do.
