On some laptops there are keys written in blue above on an a key like on the number keys. Look to see if there is a button that has the brightness icon (the sun) on it with an arrow pointing up and hold in FN and press the button at the same time.

Lg x13 screen issue? no display.

Well, the good news is you pretty much trouble shot the issue. If you plug it into the monitor and see your desktop without any issues, the video card in the notebook is still good. That's the good news. The bad news is your laptop display is bad. It sounds like your back light is failing. You can purchase another one; but it is much easier to replace the screen as several things can go wrong trying to replace just the back light. There are plenty of YouTube videos on how to replace the screen yourself if you're daring enough, or take it to a computer repair store and they can replace it for you.

P c screen upsidedown

Computer users occasionally have a need to rotate, or "flip," a monitor display to be better able to read long documents or to view pictures.

Because rotating a computer screen is such a basic function, modern operating systems (Windows XP and up) include hot keys and display options that enable the user to rotate the computer screen by 90, 180 and 270 degrees.

Rotating the computer screen allows for more display options.

For instance, when rotated 90 degrees, a 1680x1050 monitor becomes a 1050x1680 monitor, which provides more vertical pixels than a standard display.

Windows XP/Vista Monitor Orientation

Minimize any windows or programs to the taskbar. Click the desktop.

Press "CTRL" + "ALT" at the same time.

Press one of the arrow keys to flip the monitor orientation by 90, 180 or 270 degrees.

The left arrow rotates the computer screen 90 degrees; the down arrow rotates the computer screen 180 degrees; the right arrow rotates the computer screen 270 degrees; the up arrow resets the monitor orientation.

Rotate the computer screen in Windows Vista by opening the Control Panel, searching for "Tablet PC" and changing the "Orientation" drop box to the desired rotation.

Windows 7 Monitor Orientation

Click the Start menu at the lower-left hand part of the screen, and open the Control Panel.

Select "Display," then click "Change display settings" from the left column.

When using multiple monitors, select the monitor that you would like to rotate.

Click the drop box next to the "Orientation:" option. Select the desired rotation and click "Apply." Click "Keep Changes" or "Revert," depending on preference.

Click "Apply" in the Display Settings window.

Click "OK" to finish.

Hope this helps

My asus u30jc lcd was cracked, where can i buy for replacement

I take it that the Asus monitor external. You do not need to buy the same monitor unless that is what you like. You can buy any monitor that is external that will work with a lap top. You can plug The RCA cable into the lap top RCA port and it should show up.

As to where to buy? Amazon has monitor and searching for the ASUS U30JC finds that monitor for $69.99. But they do caution you to "Please match your original screen's BACKLIGHT TYPE, SIZE, and RESOLUTION before you purchase this item, because some laptop models come with more than one type of screens".

You should check you specifcations to make sure that the monitor matches so the computer will boot up the monitor. for $74.99 is another. You need to setup an another if you wish to buy from either one. You should, first, call some local electronic shops to see if they have one in house.

Also, if you buy the Amazon/Laptopscreen monitor you will have to have a computer expert exchange the broken monitor with the new one.

Good luck.

When turning on the monitor the LG logo come on and then a few seconds later ......It goes into low power mode and the screen goes black. Tried everything !

Make sure there is a solid connection between the monitor and the computer. Also, make sure the computer is on. The monitor won't power up completely unless there is a signal going to it. Also, see if the power pack on the monitor's cord is awfully warm. You may have an overheating problem and as a safety the monitor shuts itself off. If it is warm try plugging the monitor into a surge protector or different outlet. Don't use a power adapter that didn't come with the monitor. It may provide too much or too little power. If there is still a problem, contact LG. Hope this helps. Good luck.

"no signal" sign on ACER AL2423w monitor

If you get this issue frequently and it gets resolved, the most likely cause is loose cable connection from the monitor to your system.

This message means that your monitor is not getting any input from your computer. The other possible cause could be a loose video card on your computer.

Laptop to pc monitor

Connecting the laptop to an external monitor hooked uip to the VGA connector at the back of the laptop cannot damage the laptop, even if the monitor is connected to a different power supply, as on the VGA port and cable there is not high voltage being carried.
