Question about HP OfficeJet 6110 All-In-One InkJet Printer

HP Deskjet 6110

The cartridges are reading error, either it will say left cartridge not aligned or right.

I take it out put them back in and it still doesnt work. Putting machine off and on then it works.

We have a busy office and I cannot be without a printer.

Please can you assist or give me a tel no for someone to come out and service the machine.

    Hi thanks for the help I did what you said but now my printer is jammed.

    I tried step three : Perform a in cartridge cleaning procedure. But now it shows me Remove and check cartridge, which I did and it wants to do nothing I cannot cancell clear or even shut down. When I put it back on it still says Remove and check cartridge. My boss is coming in to the office I dont have a printer please urgent assistance now neede again. Hope we an sort this out.

    Thanks for the feedback. Pls. go through the link which will guided you through the procedure. Make sure you have got the right set arnd genuine HP cartridge. some times printer rejects the cartridges.

turn off the printer
remove the cartidges.
Take a damp paper towel and clean the contacts of the cartridges and also the contact inside the holder of the cartridges.
put back the cartridges.

Print a self test

Also clear the the printer memory

you need to align your printer cartridge, to align the cartridge go to start button on your computer desktop then click the setting and choose the printer and faxes then right click your installed printer HP 6110 then choose the properties of your printer then you click the maintenance menu then you see an option to align your printer cartridge...just click it and wait until finish aligning your cartridge..

It might mean that your cartridge has become demagnetized. That happened to me and I had to replace the cartridge. The little brass covering at the front of the cartridge is very delicate and can become demagnetized if handled incorrectly. You can buy refurbished ones on line and they are not as expensive, but that is entirely up to you. Good luck.

How to change ink in HP Deskjet F480 printer???

  • Check the ink levels by opening the HP Solution Center. Click on "Settings." Click on "Toolbox." Click on "Services." Click on "Service this device." Click on "Estimated Ink Levels." A graphic will appear showing the estimated ink level in each cartridge.
  • 2 Verify that the unit is on. Open the print cartridge door allowing the print carriage to move to the far right side of the unit. Once the print carriage has stopped, lightly press down on a print cartridge to release it. Pull the print cartridge toward you out of its slot. To replace the tri-color print cartridge, remove the print cartridge from the slot on the left. To replace the black or photo print cartridge, remove the print cartridge from the slot on the right. Place the cartridge in a plastic bag as it may still contain some residual ink and may leak.
  • 3 Remove the new print cartridge from its packaging. Remove the plastic tape by using the pull tab, being careful to not touch the copper-colored contacts or the ink nozzles under tape.
  • 4 Slide the new print cartridge forward into the empty slot. Gently push the upper part of the print cartridge until it clicks into place. The tri-color print cartridge fits into the left slot. The black or photo print cartridge fits into the right slot.
  • 5 Close the print cartridge door. If the print cartridge alignment sheet prints, load it on the left front corner of the scanner glass with the top of the page to the left. Verify that there is plain paper loaded in the input tray, and then press the "Scan" button to align the printer.

    Sometimes just removing the cartridge from the printer and putting it back in can solve these problems. Open the printer and remove and reinsert all print cartridges. Make sure they are secured tightly and close the lid. The cartridges may need to be replaced.

    Error occur after cleaning printer

    Make sure the cartridges are properly returned to their carriage. Try to take them out and then turn off the printer. After a minute, turn them on again. If the printer ask for a print cartridge, then open the cover and put back the cartridges again.

    Remove and check cartridge

    For "Guest" who posted on October 30th; try clicking on the following link and going through the troubleshooting suggestions on the web page:

    As far as replacing a cartridge and getting a "remove and check" error message, there is more to it (at least sometimes) than having the correct cartridge. If it isn't inserted just right, the electrical contacts between the cartridge and the print carriage will not be complete, resulting in an error.

    Also, if there is some ink or other matter on the contacts of either the cartridge or the print carriage, you can get the same result.

    Try gently removing the cartridge and putting it back in, making sure that you've got a good contact and the latch that holds the cartridge in is correctly engaged. If that doesn't work, click on the link I posted above and follow Step three: "Perform a ink cartridge cleaning procedure". See if that helps.

    Quick question for "Guest" who posted on October 31st; you are using an HP 15 cartridge? I own a 6110 all-in-one and use 56 and 57 cartridges. The product doesn't call for a HP 15. Do you have a 6110v or 6110ix?

    HP officejet 6110 printer

    Open the printer, pull out cartridges and put them back. If this does not work, it means the chipset inside the cartridge is faulty, you will need to replace the cartridge in this case.
