Question about Motorola Mobility ROKR E6 Smartphone
My phon's touch screen is not working since yesterday...there is no any damage happened...my phon is locked,i know the password bt cant access my phon..Because touch screen is not working.Plz help me

I took my cell to Motorola service center a couple of days back.Those guys charged 150 rs for analysis and then told me that the cell is waterlogged and everything(motherboard,keypad,touchscreen etc) will have to be replaced and it will cost 6000 rs which is more or less close to the cost of a new cell of the same model.So they asked me to take the cell back.
I brought it back and plugged the cell to my laptop and tried accessing all the functions thro it.Everything was working fine.This made me doubt that the cell cant be completely useless as the service center guys claim.Then i took it to a local mobile shop and told him the problem and guess what? He fixed it for me in 1000 rs.He said there was some connectivity issue and he had to replace one part.
I am assuming that the actual cost of fixing the cell would be hardly 300-400 rs sans the profits of the local repair guy.Still I am not complaining.I am not sure why the motorola service center guys give such exaggerated figures.I have heard this complaint from a couple of other ppl too wherein the authorised service center guys tell that replacing the touchscreen is going to cost almost as much as a new one.
What I suggest is,connect ur phone to the computer and take a backup of all ur contacts and stuff.Then try to unlock it and test all the funcionalities of the phone through laptop.If everything is fine then try to take the phone apart and check for loose connections etc if u ara capable of doing it.If yes,then u cld also catch hold of a friend who has a similar model and try to replace his parts in ur cell.Otherwise take it to some mobile phone repair shop and ask him to replace the parts one by one to check which part has conked off and either u can but a new part urself later otherwise u can ask him to get one.

Im having the same problem since yesterday. im takin it to the service center tomorrow .. lets hope for the best! :(
