Hitachi projection tv I have lost the top and bottom of the screen where scores etc are posted Can you tell me what to adjust?

The Height adjustment is off... look in the back of the TV set, it has some knobs in the back, one should be vert.lin for Vertical Linearity adjustment, and there is another call Vert.Hgt. for Vertical Height adjustment. try adjusting the Vertical Height first with someone watching in the front of the big TV to see if the top comes back into view, you might have to adjust the knob very slowly one way then the other way, to make this adjustment. If it doesnot adjust take it to a TV shop to get it repaired.

Try operating on screen adjustment command, if there is no way to adjust screen position , then it may be a faulty component inside the TV.

Is the tv still under guaranty?

Something is not right here--The green is adjustable in the TECH menu--did this person adjust or try to adjust in the customer or the TECH menu?

If you confirm actual model number I can tell you how to get into the TECH menu--yes--green will not adjust in customer menu--it determines geometry and is only adjusted in the TECH menu.

Also, this set requires any convergence adjustments to be done in 480 and then in 1080--if only adjusted in one mode the other will still be bad.

Let me know if you know how to adjust in TECH menu or not--with exact model number I can tell you how to get there.

you have to hit aspect on the remote until it fits the screen right

hi there,

its probably not the tv but the set top box you need to fix. go to the settings and select the mode you want ie. widescreen 16:9 etc

then go to the tv and select the full mode or widescreen mode at 16:9

that should solve your problem. it takes some time to find the combination between the set top box and the tv to get it right
