DELL D520 LAPTOP

MY DELL D520 WON''T START. IT SUDDENLY SHUT DOWN ON ITS OWN, AFTER A WARNING THAT THE BATTERY IS LOW. INSTEAD OF PLUGGING THE ADAPTER, I JUST OPTED TO REST AND SHUT IT DOWN...WHILE THE LAPTOP IS SAVING ITS SETTING, IT SUDDENLY SHUT DOWN!
SO, I PLUGGED AND CONNECTED THE ADAPTER TO OPEN IT WHEN I WAS SUPPOSED TO USE IT AGAIN. HOWEVER, IT DID NOT OPEN. SO, I CHARGED IT FOR 6HOURS, NOTHING HAPPENS AGAIN.
HELP ME, PLEASE!!!

Problem cause:

Do diagnose your Laptop try to change your battery or adapter if you have some backup device
