SkullyFox give the good solution but let me tell you one thing.....
If you by mistake installed the wrong drivers in the Realtek chipset sound then you have to remove or uninstalled the sound application …..
Intel Original all the boards having the same problem ….
Over the internet one patch is available for Realtek sound drivers first you need to install that patch after this also sound not came then try re-installing the Sound application…

if ur OS is XP then all drivers for ur motherboard is here but if u hvae vista then Intel no more support this model for vista
