I got a same problem in Holden Captiva diesel 2010 model as soon as you accelerate on traffic light the traction control light comes on engine light on dash, engine lack of power, turn the engne off for few seconds and goes ok but engine light stays on dash. Checked with the tech tool, it comes fuel metering code, can bus code... What it could be????. I've already changed fuel filter and did general service, still comes on. ANY IDEA PLEASE. OR I BURN THIS CRAPTIVA
Hey mate, I'm having same problems for my captiva 2007. What was your solutions to fix this?

You may not want to hear this but my 2012 captiva lx with 40k kms on it had identical symptoms and the end result was a replacement engine
You got ripped. Its a speed sensor. If the error comes and goes then its NOT a mechanical issue nor would the engine need replacing if power comes and goes. If an engines on the way out the performance will constantly reduce not give power some days and not the next
That happen to me and holden said I would need engine replacement then gear box went they replaced that now my timing chain has stretched looks like that's now my fault for one late service other then that I've serviced with them except last couple as they kept breaking my car , I literally pick up my car turn around drive it back for them to fix it .

SOURCE: 2001 olds ABS and traction control sensor issue
An ABS sensor DOES affect the traction control system. Traction control uses these sensors to determine if a wheel is losing traction. A bad sensor will cause both the ABS and TRACTION lights to come on.
The CHECK ENGINE light however is going to be a seperate problem.

It's the gas cap sensor. Or you are getting a vaccuum leak somewhere.
SOURCE: traction control light comes on while driving in good weather
My 2002 Millenia just started doing this the other day, while on the freeway when it started doing it i would shut engine off and restart it and it would be good for a while then it would do it again, i am still looking for solution, has any one found one?

You can check out what the trouble code is by pushing and holding the information button and the up arrow (right side of instrument cluster above the radio) until all the instrument clusters light. Press the information button (last) to enter test mode. I've had an error C1234, meaning Left rear wheel sensor fault. I found the problem to be a corroded connector under the chasis just under the rear left door about 2 feet in. I had to by-pass (replace 1 wire due to corrosion at the connector.
