Hi

I don't have an XSI here to look at, but it sounds like you just need to turn on the LCD, it's in a power save mode. Look for the "Disp" button and give it a push. (top left, beside the Menu button)

Hope this fixes the problem for you. Good luck from

I just purchased a Canon EOS Rebel K2 35 MM film camera body. What lenses are compatible with this camera?

The Rebel K2 has the Canon EF mount. It is compatible with any EF lenses except the EF-S series. It will also work with third-party lenses that are compatible with the Canon EF series.

You can see the entire current line of Canon lenses (including the EF-S series) at

18-55 lens not doing auto-focus

I offer you to buy Canon EF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM Lens. This gives very good performance for your studio work and specially for portre. It has Image Stabilization and Ultrasonic Motor. Other professional lens are very expensive. It has red ring.

Shadow on image yet nothing in front of camera. It is in the middle at the bottom edge of the image. It only appears when I set the lens so that it is all the way in at 17. I have a canon ef-s 17-55 f2.8...

Most likely it is dirt/dust on inside the lens. If it is in the bottom of the picture, the dirt will be on the top edge of the lens. If it is inside the lens, you will probably not be able to clean it your selves.

My lense for my Canon XSi seems stuck and I am not able to adjust between zooms. It is current stuck at 24 MM

Remove it and see if everything turns. Clean the contacts on the camera body and the lens where they meet with a cotton swab lightly dampened with rubbing alcohol.

New Camera

Get the Canon EF 70-300mm IS USM about $500 and EFS 17-85mm IS USM about $300. The 75-300 all of them I would not use them 4 a body cap. Camera is fine or step up to XSI.

Hello,

I can help with this, but first I need to know what model your camera is. Canon doesn't make an XST - Is your camera the Canon Digital Rebel XSi? Do you have your user manual?

Canon Rebel XTI Ef-S Lens stuck

Hello Pittsburgh! I lived there for 3 years! Dreadful city. :-)

Now, your lens must have a problem with the guide rails/pins. If you dropped it or bumped it, you might have broken/damaged those guide rails. Another reason might be sand/grit in the zoom mechanism.

You may try stripping the lens slowly and see if you can identify the problem. Most lenses are easy to disassemble, you start from the rear mount area, take off screws, and parts one by one, and be organized (i.e., take photos for every step and don't mix the screws).

Good luck.
