Press menu on your remote. Press "4" for channel and "4" for video input source. In this menu, you can toggle between s-video and regular video (yellow plug) input. The disadvantage is, if you're like me and you've got a DVD player and and VCR (or maybe a video game system) all hooked up to the same TV, you've got to go through the menu and switch the inputs to watch something else. I'm happy with my digital audio cable; I'll deal with yellow-plug video.

Well your best bet is to go to your nearest walmart or any electronic store and buy a universal remote that has a input button on it. RCA makes one.

How to I disable the SAP function on RCA FLAT 19 INCH screen?

Hello
From its main Menu, surf towards its sound Menu.
By using UP/DOWN buttons of the remote handset, select SAP

SAP (Second Audio Program) (for analog channels only) Plays the

program's audio in a second language, if one is available. The TV displays

the word SAP in the channel banner when you tune to a program that is

broadcast with SAP information. SAP audio is broadcast in mono. SAP is also

used to broadcast a program's audio with descriptions of the video for the
visually impaired. Press the right arrow button to turn SAP on or off.
OK.

I have a 19 or 20 in rca truflat and cant figure how to make my dvd work. i have the cables in line out on the dvd and line in on the tv. is there a way to change the input, ican not seem to find a way.

should be on the remote should says Input or Source

look at where you plug in the devices, should say Video 1, 2 ,3

Then use remote to put on the right input sources.

Also make sure you have the RCA cable connected properly, not all cables works some can be broken, make sure they are new.

good luck

We did a channel scan by accident while trying to hook up a dvd player (couldn't get that hooked up) and now are unable to get any channels. model#20f424t

With the tv cable hooked up do another channel scan and that should find all the channels again. As for the DVD there should be a source button or a tv/video button for that :) hope this helps :)

My DVD player is hooked up to my RCA truflat but i cannot find the picture. I lost the original remote to my RCA truflat and am now using a RCA universal remote. How do I get picture on my tv?

There should be a button on the front of the TV that says TV/VIDEO or INPUT. Turn on the DVD player and put a DVD in it and press play. Press the TV/VIDEO button until the picture is present.

Good Luck....

RCA f20580wn 20" TV about 20 years old

Hopefully you have the problem solved.

If not, the RCA plugs, listed as input 1 and 2 are shown on channel 91 and 92.

I recommend connecting the DVD to either input. Turn on the DVD. Then run the auto programming function of the TV. It will find and program the channel for the DVD. Then use the channel up or down on the remote you are currently using and you should find a working DVD.

Hope this helps.
