Can not delete on Philips MPS player model #SA32

Hi there, there are many ways to copy /transfer music to your player. Here¡¦s a common and simple way to do this process using Windows Explorer. Follow the instructions below: -Connect the disk storage (MP3 player) to your computers USB port. If the computer pops up a window asking what do you want windows to do? Click cancel. -Right click on My Computer and click on Explore. A split window will pop up and display the contents and drives on your computer. Look for the drive Removable Disk (E:) [The letter drive may vary depending on your computer] This is your MP3 player. -Next, drop down My Documents and click on the My Music folder. If you store your music files in a different location then find that folder. -Take a file from the My Music folder or where ever you store your music files, click on the music file drag and drop it into the E: Removable Disk on the left of the window. A window will pop up and display the progress of the copying. Repeat the process until your player is full. Once in the folder to your mp3, you can delete any unwanted files(music, video etc) You have completed the file copy/transfer process! If this helped, then please rate, thank you!5f3455d.jpg

WHEN I PLUG IN MY SA3245 NOTHING SHOWS UP ON THE COMPUTER MONITOR

OK to Disconnect just means ur battery is full and no files are in transfer to the device. After changing battery, the device will update fora minute, if after a decent ammount of time goes by and nuthing happens, use a pin and hold down the reset button, forcing the device to power down, turn it back on and try to let it update again

You might have accidentally deleted key system files, but this is worth a shot:

Recovery Mode for Philips' GoGear
Disconnect the player from the PC, and make sure the mp3 player is turned off. Hold in the volume + button on the mp3 player, and reconnect the player to your pc while holding in the volume + button. Continue holding the volume + for 10-15 seconds until a "Found New Hardware Wizard" pops up. It should recover your device if there isn't anything internally wrong with the player. Warning: this procedure will result in your songs being erased off the player, so they will have to be reloaded.

Philips GoGear Firmware Upgrade
You need to get the latest firmware upgrade from the Philips website:
1. Go to www.philips.com/support
2. Enter your country/language
3. Enter your model # SA6045 or whatever
4. Click on the link for your exact model # (the one w/o the "B" in it)
5. Click on "Software & Drivers"
6. Download the updated "Device/Firmware Manager"
7. Once installed, open the Philips Device Manager
8. Click on the "Update" tab, then the "Update" button (with your mp3 player connected to the computer, of course)
9. Your Mp3 players firmware will update automatically
If you do not have the latest version of the Philips Device Manager installed (the latest is the version from the Philips website), then clicking the "Update" button will give you a false positive saying "The firmware on your device is already up to date."

Major problems

You have to run the "Repair" function in the Philips Device Manager to remove this error message - see Philips website or call them for details.

Then upgrade the firmware:

Philips GoGear will not repair

Uninstall your Windows Media Player 11, and rollback to Windows Media Player 10 first. instructions at microsoft.com or www.usasupport.philips.com.

Then:
Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.

My media player 11 won't show up on my computer? it was working fine but now it wont show up

Read the warning about this device and Windows Media Player 11 at www.usasupport.philips.com

You will need to reformat the GoGear in Windows Media Player, but do a firmware upgrade first - open the Philips Device Manager and click on the Update tab. Then click the update button. After the firmware upgrade is done, open windows Media Player.
REFORMAT FOR WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER - Erases Everything: Connect your GoGear to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "Philips Go Gear SAXXX" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything, and make your player properly read in Windows Media Player.

I'm a bit late to the party here but the solution is to right click the shortcut to the Philips DMM and run as an Administrator. It all works fine if you do.

HDD6330 file structure issue

First, reload the CD. Then grab a clean version of the software from the Philips website: Then,
Make sure you back up all songs on the GoGear before attempting this solution.

1) Back up all files on the GoGear
2) Open up Philips Device Manager (Start --> All Programs --> Philips)
3) Click on the Repair Tab, and look for a msg that says connect the player while holding the volume + button
4) Disconnect the GoGear from the computer and turn the GoGear off - hold in the volume + button and continue to hold it as you reconnect the GoGear to the computer; after holding the volume + button for up to 20 or 30 seconds, a window will open up saying that your device is being repaired (now you can let go of the volume + button); after the repair is successfully complete, your GoGear will be good as new

Now you can do the firmware upgrade that will prevent this problem from occuring in the future. Open up Philips Device Manager and click the Update tab. This problem was caused because most GoGear's were designed for Windows XP with Media Player 10 (which is no longer the latest standard).
