Question about Microwave Ovens
My microwave last night when I hit the start button made a HUGE POP and now wont heat food.
Everything else works fine. What should I do?
I have a Sharp model R-1610
I would say the high voltage rectifier diode has blown.
See http://www.gallawa.com/microtech/diode.html for help in diagnosis.
Okay, now that I see the model number, that's a US model:
You can usually find exploded views and order parts by entering your model number here at the Sears parts site.
The best place to order Sharp parts is Tritronics.
