Question about Lexmark Printers & Copiers

Two sided printing on Lexmark X6575

I don't have the manual and I don't see how this works. There is a "2-sided" button on the panel and if it is pressed, a printed page is "sucked" back in and is turned over! But how do I load the material to be copied? Will it do multiple copies? Any help would be appreciated. I'm computer literate so just give me an outline and I will take it from there. Thank you. Steven

Q1- What make and model of copier are you using? Q2- Which document feeder are you using?

SOURCE: Faint red line across page when making color copies or printing in color from computer

Some possibilities are:

1) Dirt on the glass, dirt on the glass strip for the doc feeder, or dust on the mirrors. This would be the case if the line only showed when copying and not printing.

2) Toner dropped onto the charge sawtooth.
This may be possible if the line is intermittent and only showed up for 1 or 2 colors.
Open the front door and remove the waste toner box. To the left of each drum there is a green organ-stop type stem. Pull and reinsert each stem. You will hear a zipping noise. These are your charge scrubbers.
This may be not as likely if the line shows up in the same place on all 4 colors

3) Toner or dust on the lens
This may be possible if the line is intermittent and only showed up for 1 or 2 colors.
In the area where the waste toner box goes, look for a grey stick with a white cushion on the end. This is your lens scrubber. Look in the area under the charge scrubber on each drum cartridge for a gap. Insert the scrubber cushion side down into the gap and run it forward and back to clean the lens.
This may be not as likely if the line shows up in the same place on all 4 colors

4) Transfer belt blade not cleaning
This is best handled by a service tech since the mylar belt is very fragile. The squeegee blade that cleans the transfer belt between copies is missing a spot. The blade needs to be taken off the belt, cleaned and repowdered. Recently, Sharp made changes to the composition and thickness of the mylar in the transfer belts. Overpowdering the blade or belt when it was changed may cause improper cleaning of the belt creating lines across the copies. Often the condition clears up after a couple of days as the gap between the blade and belt is sealed.
This is most likely the cause as the line shows up in the same area for more than 1 color.

5) Transfer belt and/or blade is worn out
If the belt is worn the blade must be replaced but not vice versa.

6) Clogged waste augers in the drum cartridges.
Waste toner may cake up in the drum cartridge and knock loose on the drum.

It may be time for full maintenance on the machine.

SOURCE: My hp 1320 prints multiple copies instead of one copy

Go to "printers and faxes."
Right click on your printer and select "Printing preferences."
Select "Advanced" tab
Double click "paper output"
If "Copy count=2" then change to 1 and apply
IF IT ALREADY IS SET TO 1 THEN:
Set "copy count=2" then APPLY
Repeat the above and now set "copy count=1"

The process of setting and resetting the copy count fixed my issues.

SOURCE: Lexmark x6575 I want to disable the wireless function

Hi,
you can take out the white box where the black antenna is behind the printer. It's the wireless network adapter of the printer. It might be hard but it can be pulled out off the printer. Hope this helps.

Hi, my x6575 prints with vertical perforated lines down the center, how do I get it off?

It could be because of the paper type you are using. Try to use a different type of paper and check if "perforated lines" still appear. If problem happens to all types of paper that you've tried, please don't hesitate to contact Lexmark technical support for additional assistance.

What setting to receive fax

You don't have to manually set the printer to receive faxes. Your printer will automatically receive a fax when it recognizes a fax tone/signal/transmission. Just as long as the fax settings are correctly configured and the printer is connected to a working phone/fax line.

The phone line could possibly be in the wrong jack, although I doubt that is the case,. There is usually a switch on the machine somewhere to tell the machine how to answer - it may be on the bottom or side - meaning not necessarily on the back...

To be sure,. try downloading the owners manual form the company web site an read the users operating instructions.. there you will find the details of operation for the product.

Good luck

Problem with inkjet indicator

sometimes the ink level report does not reflect the true picture. what you should do is see whether it is printing faded or not printing blank. If printin normal you really shouldn't worry. If it were not printing I would suggest you returned it but that is not the case.

My Lexmark X6575 won't print. All the lights are on, but nothing is happening. I deleted the printer and reinstalled it; it printed a few documents and now won't print again. I'm using Vista.

Hello !!

Thank you for writing to Fixya.com

1- Go to the Control Panel. Then uninstall the Lexmark Printer software first.
2. Unplug the Printer from the computer.
3. Now, let's reset the Print Spooler Service. To do that go to this link:
It seems to be that, your print spooler service is crashing & onceyou restart the machine. It's actually reinitialized & it work fora while & then get stuck again. I have seen these kind of problemin past & best possible step would be to reset the Print Spoolerservice. To do that check the below link:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2000007

Once you go to the above mentioned link, you will find a picture there:

Now run this in the full mode.

- Once you have done that, Now install the printer back again & it should work.

Hope this would be helpful.
