Question about E-Machines eMachines Desktop PC
Many of the newer machines for sale now unfortunatly do not include a seperate and powerful video card. The machine comes with an internal video card that shares the machine's memory for video loads; iy is built into the motherboard to reduce the selling price. Many of the current games out there require a very large amount of video power and these onboard video MB's just can't keep up with the software and the game slows to a crawl or fails to work at all. All games sold retail come a minimum requirements list. Make sure you PC has all the requirements the software needs to run. Remember this is a minumum list and this is NOT the best hardware to make the game run well. Games today for the most part require a huge amount of power to run favorably and these sale machines usually don't cut the mustard. Check that the CPU is fast and you have at least 1 to 2 GB of memory installed. Check to see if you have a video slot available to install a decent video card. If it does'nt forget the whole thing a get another PC built to play games on it. If yes, install one immediatly and a good one should cost around $150 or so. The machine's manual should tell you if you can or not. These can be expensive however, so pray the machine you have will take a videocard and good luck.
