Question about JBL MR-17 Sirius-Ready AM/FM/CD Receiver Controller
I accidentally locked the channel on my MR-17 by holding down the power button on the wired remote and a channel locked. I can tune to the channel manually and temporarily unlock it by entering in the passcode. I can't permanently unlock it though. So when tuning +/- it just gets skipped. The manual says to perm. unlock it hit shift and numeral 5 follwed by the password. This does NOT work. When hitting shift and then numeral 5 it tunes to the preset 5. Anyone have this problem?
If you have a Sirius satelite receiver box, the Sirius ID number will be on it ir the package it came in. The reciever is seperate form the MR-17.2 and is usually a JBL SIR2.5.

I have the exact same issue. I have swapped with two identical MR17.2 radios and swapped out the sirius receiver. No change. I even bought a remote thinking I had to have a remote installed to get it to work...still no diff. Have you ever found a solution?
