Question about Epson Stylus Color 740i InkJet Printer
Back in Nov 07, I asked for a solution, but it didn;t work. I downloaded some software(SSC Utility?), but it only seemed to be able to reset the ink cartridges. I don't need to do that.
All 3 lights ( paper, black ink and color ) are flashing!! Cannot print anymore. Is there a timer, counter in the board that can be reset? I have a number of printers and this always happens. They are in a production atmosphere printing CD's and DVD's. They get 100's of prints/day. It's not worth sending them in for repair. I just want to be able to reset them. Epson must have a known fix for this, but they won't tell me.
Thank you, Carl

The free SSC utility which will reset the waste ink pad protection counter in most Epson inkjet printers can be downloaded from
http://www.ssclg.com/epsone.shtml. Remember though, if you don't change the ink pads, there will be an increasing danger of ink leakage from your printer, particularly if you tip it up for any reason - VERY messy, and it can clog up your printer mechanisms.

If you have carried out 4 to 5 head cleans, waited about 8 hours and done another 3 or head cleans doing nozzle checks after each clean (as recommended by the manual) and there is still no improvement then you will need a third party head cleaning solution such as this one:
Other makes & brands are available just google "inkjet head cleaning solution" Hope this helps.
